This is my own version of a weekly book haul and all things new on fuonlyknew.

I’m also linking up with The Sunday Post hosted by Kimberly @Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Sunday Post

Some chit chat.

Whew. It was so busy at work. I have a very physical job and I came home late every day, exhausted! One thing I do enjoy is seeing the results of my work. I detail the interior of autos and some of them are downright disgusting when they are brought in. It’s so rewarding to see them when I’m finished. I know many owner’s are shocked by how good they look. LOL

And the weather was perfect for work and for reading outside. In the low 80s and plenty of sunshine. All sorts of green is showing up and the birds are flocking. Problem with that is the bird poo on my car. LOL

Remember this from last week. The first bits of green poking through.

Look at it now! It’s growing so fast!

I plan to spend today on the back porch, reading and sunning. Have a fabulous Sunday!

  1. Those plants are very hardy, aren’t they?

Enjoy your books…I am curious about Primal Fear. Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

  2. Greg Hill says:

Reading and sunning sounds pretty good! Enjoy the nice weather. It’s nice to see the green shoots poking up. I’m looking forward to seeing them here too at some point lol!

I used to work at a vette shop and always loved seeing the cars detailed and restored.

    • fuonlyknew says:

We’ve had splendid weather. Got a little sunburn today! LOL There are so many shades of green springing up now. My work is satisfyig. I like seeing a nasty car look as new as I can get it.

  3. I was just talking to someone at work who also said she detail the interior of cars and her words were how disgusting some were. She was telling me how they only have a certain amount of time to clean each car. Had to get inside the crooks and cranies with a tiny pointy object. Something like that.

    Great Haul

    • fuonlyknew says:

I’ve been doing it a long time and still shocked by how filthy some people let their cars get. LOL I use many tools, and a long thin air hose to get into the nooks and crannies. I do several a day and need to get them done within a couple of hours each. Some take longer so we don’t do as many on those days. It’s exhausting but sure keeps me in shape.

  4. Oooh! Glad that your plants are doing well! Have a great week!

    Here’s my Sunday Post!

Ronyell @ Rabbit Ears Book Blog and join in this week’s Book Photo Sundays and Cover Spotlight!

  5. I envy you the spring so much! We still have -17C and we’re up to mid-calves in snow. Ugh, no fun at all.
It’s nice that you’re enjoying your job! Although it’s too bad it’s so tiring. I know what you mean though, seeing a result makes it worth it 🙂
    Have a great week!

  6. I have tried a few of the authors in your haul but didn’t take to any of them sadly! Ah well we can’t like everything I guess, which is a good thing considering the stress my shelves are under!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I know we don’t always enjoy the same authors which makes it especially fun when we find some we do! Different strokes for different folks, right! LOL

  7. Daniela Ark says:

ohno! Sorry to hear you have been coming home exhausted! It is indeed very rewarding to make things look better! Except it seems the birds like to “baptize” very clean cars sometimes? LOL I do remember you plant from last week! It reminded me of when I moved here up north and I was surprised dead plant came back 🙂 Look how big yours is already!

    • fuonlyknew says:

The birds can be messy. LOL And the pollen is so think it coats everything green right now. I try not to complain as that means spring! I can’t believe how fast things are growing. Going to be fun sharing about it on my blog.

  8. Michelle P says:

I wish I could sit outside and read, it’s been raining for 3 days. I have been watching the cherry blossom trees that line our street, they are starting to get those little buds on them. So I am hoping that means warmer weather soon.

It is very rewarding, I love making something that doesn’t look so good, look amazing!

Have a great week, Laura! Happy Reading

    • fuonlyknew says:

It’s been unusually warm and sunny after a couple of weeks of rain. Everything is growing and blooming. Our tulip trees are gorgeous! I’m heading outside to enjoy a cuppa tea and soak up some sun with a good book soon:)

  9. sjhigbee says:

I can understand why you come home shattered – though I think it is depressing that folks don’t have sufficient pride to present a car that is at least reasonable. Your plant is springing to life amazingly fast! We have now crocus and daffodils flowering, though it has been bitterly cold this week… Have a great week, Laura:)

    • fuonlyknew says:

What’s crazy is that the more expensive the vehicle the dirtier some are? Makes me think they are leases rather than owned. I’m having fun sharing about my plant. It’s already grown since this latest photo from 2 days ago! I love spring, Sarah:)

  10. Wow, that greenery is coming to life! I’m glad you are having excellent reading weather. We are having nasty rain right now. I’m ready to be outside.

    • fuonlyknew says:

Things are so green and growing in leaps and bounds. I figure we’ll get a short cold blast though. I’m watching for buds on my pecan trees. That’s when spring is officially here.

  11. Wow-that has really sprouted a lot in a week!! Its been raining non stop here, so if anything was sprouting, its under water now! Ugh-Ohio…I’m over it! Enjoy your time outside reading! I’m jealous!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I know. And it’s grown since I took the picture 2 days ago. It just started raining so I can only imagine what it will be like when I share next week! We had almost two weeks of warm temps and sun.

  12. Andreea P. says:

The plant is making a lot of progress!
Enjoy your new books and thank you for sharing the freebies!

    • fuonlyknew says:

Thanks. I’m reading a good thriller right now! And I love browsing for freebies. Try to find something for everyone’s tastes but sometimes it’s slim pickins. LOL

  13. Sorry to hear your week was so exhausting. The weather is nice though, the plants are looking good. Enjoy your new books and hope you have a better week. 🙂

    • fuonlyknew says:

It was tiring but a productive week. I sure enjoyed the weekend, relaxing and reading. It started to rain just now so I’m curled up with a book!

  14. I need to take my car in for a detail. It’s not as filthy as some I’ve seen but it could use a cleaning! I can imagine seeing the progress is very rewarding! The daffodils are starting to come out here and I’m glad to see them but a little worried. I’m afraid we’ll get a freeze before they all bloom. Have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I detail cars and mine needs one! LOL I ahve so many things growing and starting to bud. I’m hoping if we get a cold spell they won’t be harmed either. Most of the plants are pretty hardy though.

  15. StackingMy BookShelves says:

I really like the Boyd Taylor book covers, I have to go check out these books. I hope you enjoy your haul this week!
Have a great week of reading!

  16. How great to see green! We’ve still got two feet of snow. I’m hoping to have a garden with my step-daughter-to-be this summer, though. We’ll have to figure out what to grow.

    • fuonlyknew says:

No snow, thank you very much. LOL I love gardens and always have fun planning what to grow. I try to pick things I’ll eat and also that bloom so pretty.

  17. Glad to see your greenery making a great comeback, I think after all this rain I might have to start mowing! 🙁

    Happy reading! 🙂

    Week in Review

  18. I’m amazed at how fast the plant has grown!! That’s awesome. It will be back in full force in no time. I totally believe that some cars are beyond disgusting. My friend’s car is like a large trash can on wheels. No joke. I hope you have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

It’s growing in leaps and bounds! Can’t wait to share more on its progress next week. With kids and pets, we are kept in business! LOL So many people have to eat on the run in the vehicles too, between their jobs and the kids after school activities. Some that have been brought in I wouldn’t want my kids riding in. LOL

  19. It’s good to see the plant is growing. It’s going to be so pretty. The weather here was nice but rainy. I hope you have a great week.

  20. Wow, your plants grow fast. Mine are still dead and covered in snow. I’m glad the weather has been good for you. Have a great week!

  21. Kathy_A says:

I can’t wait for warmer weather to come. My husband is an auto mechanic so I understand your late hours. He’s restored a couple cars so I’ve seen the amazing changes done to the interior. You have a very rewarding career! I hope you have a great week and enjoy the great weather.

  22. Wow! That plant is growing super fast! Awesome.

I want the sun to shine bad, so I envy the warm rays that you’re getting. LOL

Hope you have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I know. I swear I can almost see it growing! Looks like the sun will be playing peek-a-boo this coming week. But at least it won’t be freezing:)

  23. So green, so fast! I could use some of that. Ha ha. We had a couple of days in the high 40s, low 50s so I had the windows open. It was like heaven. Spring cannot come soon enough. 🐦

Reading outside sounds fantastic. Have a wonderful week. ☺

  24. What a rewarding job that must be. Wished you lived nearby – we could use a good detail or two. I managed to grab The Picture Frame too and am excited to read something by that author.

  25. Cry of the fire bird looks good!
