Jade Burt can do without her grandmother’s meddling in her love life. But when Millie finds an abandoned baby possum, it leads her to Caleb Young. Caleb would be perfect for Jade! When Jade meets Caleb, it’s hard to argue with her grandmother’s choice. Still, Jade is determined to push Caleb away, but his friendship with Millie concerns her. Author Gayle Leeson

Gayle Leeson is a pseudonym for Gayle Trent. I also write as Amanda Lee. As Gayle Trent, I write the Daphne Martin Cake Mystery series and the Myrtle Crumb Mystery series. As Amanda Lee, I write the Embroidery Mystery series.

I live in Virginia with my family, which includes my own “Angus” who is not an Irish wolfhound but a Great Pyrenees who provides plenty of inspiration for the character of Mr. O’Ruff. I’m having a blast writing this new series! But, never fear, I’m also working on a new cozy mystery series as well.

Thank you for hosting me today!

  2. This sounds like a fun book! I love cozy mysteries.

    • daphnemartin says:

This one isn’t a cozy. It’s like a cozy but without the murder! LOL The series follows the residents of the Community Center on their adventures. I do have a new cozy in the works–look for the Ghostly Fashionista series coming soon. 😀

      • fuonlyknew says:

My bad. I tagged it as a cozy mystery. Fixed that in my post now! Sorry Gayle.

  3. Anne says:

Delightful and special. I enjoy this author’s novels greatly. Thanks.

  4. Cathy French says:

To the author…that is one massive yet beautiful doggie!

    • daphnemartin says:

Thank you, Cathy. He’s my sweetheart. I took him for a walk on Sunday, and a beautiful little girl came to check him out. He was, of course, on all fours, and she came up to about his chin. “Will he get me?” she asked. “No,” I promised. “He likes you.” She put up her hand and patted him on the neck. A couple of times she changed her mind and scampered off saying, “He’s gonna get me!” But then she’d come right back and pet him. She even picked flowers for him. I wish I’d had my phone and could’ve taken a picture. They were precious together.

This sounds like a lot of fun! I don’t think that I have read a book that featured a opposum before 🙂

    • gayletrent says:

Thank you! I had fun with it. I got the idea from an incident where I rescued a baby possum when my children were small. 😄

  7. Looks cute…and a baby possum. I must admit it keeps sticking in my head. lol
