Welcome to Teaser Tuesday hosted by Ambrosia  @ The Purple Booker.

Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read.
• Open to a random page.
•Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My Teaser for this week is from

The Penance List

The David Trilogy #1

by S C Cunningham

Genre: Adult / Thriller / Mystery / Erotica

First Teaser from page 138 in the paperback.

Tara crashed into the flat, kicked off her toe-scrunching shoes, dropped her keys onto the hall shelf, and dumped her briefcase on the floor   home sweet home.

We can all relate to this. I waste no time getting out of work mode when I get home after a long day. My comfort clothes are waiting right where I left them. LOL

Second Teaser from page 139.

A short sharp snap came from the kitchen. She jumped up, listening hard; not quite believing it could finally be over. Was that psycho-mouse?

I’m dying to know if she got the mouse.

I remember a battle I had with a mouse in my house. He was bold and tricky. I never did get him.

Sexy, thrilling, dark, a bit raunchy, and funny.

  1. (Was that psycho-mouse?) Now that’s a good one! 🙂

  2. jennrenee says:

a psycho mouse would be the worst! although it would be kind of cute to see him carrying a knife around.

    • fuonlyknew says:

LOL I watched a movie called Of Unknown Origin. The guy tore his place apart in a war with a rodent.

  3. ljennison says:

We had a mouse in the house. A smart mouse. Kept stealing the bait from the trap. Husband brought a cat in. The next day he finally caught it – in the snap trap. Was relieved. I can only imagine a psycho-mouse.

  4. Definitely not a book for me, but you did manage to grab a couple of teaser extracts, which kept me reading.

I like that you too have ‘comfort clothes’ for after work. The first thing I do is kick off my shoes, as I just love having bare feet, then slip into something old, baggy and comfortable!

Mind you, having bare feet around the house did backfire on me last week, as I stubbed my entire foot on a kitchen cupboard shelf, broke one if not two of my small toes and damaged a bone in the side of my foot!

Living on the edge of a small copse does attract the wildlife and we had field mice nesting in our loft one year. I’m afraid that pest control which mummified them insistently so they didn’t suffer, was just about the only option.

Thanks for sharing and enjoy the rest of your week 🙂

I love being barefoot! And my comfort clothes are baggy and comfortably worn too. LOL The lady who brings my mail must wonder if I have any decent clothes.! I’ve also broken many toes. Some will no long bend. Played a lot of beach volley ball and injured them often. I only get mice when we get a cold spell. They usually pop in, warm up, and leave again.

  5. carolesrandomlife says:

I definitely can relate to that first teaser! It is the best feeling in the world to get home and finally get the chance to get comfortable 🙂

  6. Yvonne says:

    Great teaser! I’m intrigued.

  7. Tammy says:

I loved your teasers, although I’m a bit creeped out by the guy with the camera and the girl obviously framed in the camera lens. I’m curious about this, though😀

  8. Psycho mouse…LOL

  9. Beware Of The Reader says:

Hahaha Laura a psycho mouse really???
