Some chit chat.

Whew. What a week. Work was crazy busy and all I wanted to do when I got home each day was lay like broccoli. LOL

I’m still watching The Haunting Of Hill House. Two episodes to go. My son and I watch one each night. We also watched Ready Player One. What a trip. Had loads of fun trying to spot different characters. And Iron Giant. I love that lug! The movie put me in the mood for some others so I watched Guardians Of The Galaxy 1 and 2. Great tunes and loads of action. Just what I needed.

I started reading some Christmas books and looking for some shows and movies. It will be here before you know it. Guys, where did this year go????

Have a fabulous  Sunday and brand new week!

  1. Greg says:

This year has FLOWN by. Totally crazy. And I’ve been thinking of watching hill Hous- everyone seems to love it?

  2. Do you like The Haunting of Hill House? I have mixed feelings on the series.

    • fuonlyknew says:

I’m liking more the further I get into it. Bit confusing at the start as the character’s are different from the movies.

  3. We changed the clocks here in the UK last night so now I feel like Winter is really coming!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I dread that! We change ours on November 4th. It’s hard to be motivated for anything when you get up to dark and drive home in it.

  4. Beware Of The Reader says:

Christmas books Laura? Did I read it right? No more horror then? LOL And it’s a real pleasure to share something with our kids! Happy Sunday!

    • fuonlyknew says:

there will be a few scary Christmas books. You know, killer snowballs and snowmen. LOL The rest will be funny, sweet or children’s books.

  5. I love Christmas, and authors come up with the best Christmas mysteries and Christmas horror stories!

  6. That is spot on! I also had a ‘broccoli’ week. Last week I didn’t even visit anyone’s Sunday posts (I am so sorry!), which can also be attributed to the broccoli condition. Hehe. And yes, where DID the year go? I don’t get it, time flies. When I was little, it’s like a year actually took six years, compared to now.
    Have a wonderful week, Laura!

    • fuonlyknew says:

Darn vegetables! LOL I remember how slowly time could pass when I was young. Not the days fly by. Maybe I just don’t want to get older? LOL

  7. I’m looking for Christmas books too! Think i’m going to have a go at Caffeinated’s challenge! And you’re right, it does seem madness, Christmas is almost upon us. I watched The Haunting of House Hill and loved it – wish there were more seasons? We only have season one… I’m hoping for more!

Here’s my Sunday post!. Enjoy your hopefully lazy Sunday!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I have some holiday books from last year that I didn’t get to and some new ones also. Should be fun. Hill House is pulling me in. Very creepy vibes and I’m curious where they take these characters.

  8. I don’t know any of these books!

  9. We watched 3 episodes of the Haunting of Hill House and its a struggle to keep my husbands interest. Now this weekend we tried Sabrina the teenage witch and he watched 4 episodes in one sitting! Go figure.

    • fuonlyknew says:

The first episode didn’t do much for me but now its getting good. I started Sabrina and loved it. On 5th episode now and having a good time.

  10. Jan says:

I’m trying to save my Christmas books for the Ho-Ho-Ho Readathon, but I might read one or two and review them during the readathon.

I haven’t watched any of The Haunting of Hill House…looks like it might be too scary for me…lol. I hope you have a great week, Laura.

    • fuonlyknew says:

I have a stack of holiday books I’ve read so I can start writing reviews and scheduling ahead. The holidays are so busy and creep up on me so fast I need to get a handle on things early. Hill House is more atmospheric than actually scary for me but I’m not that far in yet.

  11. Gayathri Lakshminarayanan says:

I watched the haunting of hill house this week and I liked it even if the ending was a bit dragging. But perfect for the Halloween nights I suppose.

    • fuonlyknew says:

I have several episodes to go. Parts of it keep me glued and parts of it don’t. We’ll see what I think about the ending. No way can I not finish watching!

  12. Enjoy all of those new books, and thanks for sharing. I dread the holidays, because right afterwards, we have to get ready for tax season. It ruins my holidays! LOL

Thanks for sharing, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

    • fuonlyknew says:

Don’t you wish we could not think ahead once in a while. I dread every Sunday because all I think is Monday. Back to work. LOL

  13. Stormi D Johnson says:

You are reading some awesome book!!! I have only watched a couple of episodes of The Haunting of Hill House, I am not sure if I like it or not, it’s not calling to me…lol.

    • fuonlyknew says:

I sure have had some great reads this month! I think I’ll be ready for my Cozy November though. So much horror. who would ever think I would want a break from that. LOL Hill House is slowly grabbing me. I hope it continues to do so.

  14. sjhigbee says:

Yes… the clocks went back last night, so already the sun is setting and we’ve had the first sharp frost of the year. Winter is coming and the year is dying… I’m sure the years were longer when I was a girl! Have they been devalued when I wasn’t looking? Have a great week, Laura:)

  15. kozbisa says:

I always swear I am going to read a run Christmas books around this time of year, and then I don’t. BUT, the Christmas movies have started on Hallmark Channel, so that’s always a good thing.

  16. Yvonne says:

I have to get back to watching The Haunting of Hill House. Your books all look great. I have a few on my Kindle too. Have a great week!

  17. Northwoman says:

The Tent sounded like the scariest thing ever. Probably because we did lots of camping when I was a child. We had foxes come around our fire pit once and eat popcorn that had spilled. That was more exciting than scary.

It has been a crazy busy time, and although the year is coming to an end. I am not ready for Christmas books. I would wait except the HoHoHoRAT starts on the 9th, so I will be reading them. Have a great week! Anne – Books of My Heart

    • fuonlyknew says:

The Tent was a good one. Just how I like them. LOL I know I need to get to Christmas reads early. I still have some I want to share from last year!

  18. That cover of Welcome to Heaven’s Peak is terrifying!!! Enjoy The Haunting of Hill House!

  19. This year went way too fast. I’m sad because I didn’t accomplish anything. Enjoy your Christmas books. Have a great week!

  20. Those look like some great new reads.
We are watching ‘The Haunting of Hill House’ too. I didn’t really know what to think after episode one. But now I’m hooked.
I hope this week will be a little less busy for you. Happy Reading!

  21. Liliana says:

I’m also watching House on Haunted Hill! I’m only on like episode 3 though. Lol. I’ve been watching so many horror movies that I’ve fallen behind on all the fall tv shows that came back on. And I also need to watch Daredevil season 3 and the new Sabrina the teenage witch show on Netflix. So many shows, so little time. Lol.

Also, Welcome to Heaven’s Peak looks absolutely creepy! I need to check it out!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I’ve been watching a lot of movies and am behind on my shows too. So much to watch right now! Sabrina is a fun one!

  22. I love the Guardian movies and the opening scene with Groot dancing in the second one steals my heart every time. We have three more episodes of Hill House left. There really is some spooky stuff going on in that one right? I agree, this year has just flown by. I’m not ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas but I guess it’s coming anyways!

    • fuonlyknew says:

Groot is too adorable! I also loved the scene where he is trying to help Rocket and blue dude try to escape. He looked so sad when he walked up to them. Poor little guy. I’m saving the last episodes of Hill House for Halloween night. Should be fun!

  23. feeroberts64 says:

Great haul! I can’t wait to hear what you think. Thanks for the links 🙂

  24. I grabbed one that was still free. That’s what I get for being late to the party. 🙂
