This is my own version of a weekly book haul and all things new on fuonlyknew.

I’m also linking up with The Sunday Post hosted by Kimberly @Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Some chit chat.

What a week! It rained. The wind blew. It got freezing cold. For the first time I had to turn on the furnace. It’s off again now as the sun has come out and it’s supposed to be beautiful and in the 70s all next week. With Thanksgiving and Friday off of work, I’ll have a short week and plan to get back to sprucing up the yard. I also got out the Christmas decorations and will be doing that next weekend too.

On a quick note. My internet provider was down for a few days and I couldn’t get around to visit ya’ll like I wanted. Sorry about that. I’m working my way through emails and such to try and catch up on posts I’ve missed.

Have a fabulous  Sunday and brand new week!

  1. Hope you enjoy your day off from work! Also, your new books look interesting, hope you find them so as well. Putting out the Christmas decorations can be fun, but something that makes it better is to listen to some of your favorite music while you do it.

    • fuonlyknew says:

Thanks. I plan to make the most of the long weekend coming up. And I do listen to holiday music while decorating. It sets the mood:)

  2. Greg says:

Have a great Thanksgiving! Glad the warmer weather is back. I fear it’s gonna stay cold here now for… oh about 5 months lol.

Looks like some cute and some spooky reads this week. 🙂

  3. We’re meant to be getting a really cold spell coming in this week but we’ll see if they get it right. We haven’t had bad weather this month really except the odd cold or rainy day but nothing unexpected. I’m glad to be in my nice cozy house though!

    • fuonlyknew says:

We had a ton or rain and then the cold rolled in. It’s beautiful right now. I’m back to shorts and barefoot!

  4. I hope the weather will be nice for your days off, Laura! Both for sprucing the garden, and for enjoying some time outside.
Those holiday books with dogs look amazing! Santa Paws indeed 😀 That made me smile so big.
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.

    • fuonlyknew says:

It’s going to be sunny and warm all week and I plan on making the most of it:) The Santa Paws books are adorable. It was a lucky find!

  5. The Quality of Silence piqued my interest because I grew up in Alaska. The book has a captivating cover, too.

  6. You’ve got a great a mix of Christmas 🎄 books 📚 I’ll look into those I need them for Blogmas 🎅x have a lovely few days off !

    • fuonlyknew says:

I have so many holiday books to share. Some are from last year that I didn’t manage to fit in. I’ll be using the extra days off to read them:)

  7. Holiday and dogs!?!? I love both those things!

  8. Stormi D Johnson says:

Can you send some of your 70’s weather my way! 🙂 Though we are supposed to be in the 50’s next week so better than this week has been. Got to love those Thrift store finds!!

Have a great week and happy reading!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I wish I could! LOL It’s gorgeous and I’m loving being back in shorts and running around barefoot. I love thrift stores. I’ve found some great things. Just have to not hurry and look closely.

  9. I hope you have a lovely Thanksgiving this week! It looks like you have some fab books lined up for your holiday reading – I’m reading a book at the moment called Christmas Camp which has a gorgeous dog in it. 🙂 I’ve only read The Quality of Silence from the books in your post but it was a good read – the author really captures the cold and ice so well. I hope you enjoy all of your books. 🙂

    • fuonlyknew says:

Christmas Camp? That’s a new one and now I must check it out. Thanks! I was lucky to win The Quality Of Silence. I’ve enjoyed other books by the author and have high hopes for this one:)

  10. Beware Of The Reader says:

I hate when my internet provoder is down! If I am unlucky it happens the day I must do homeworking and I have to hightail to one heaquarter. I always feel like I am missing something. I must be addicted 😉

    • fuonlyknew says:

I had just scheduled some posts that would have to go during the week so I got lucky. But I was bored out of my mind until I got the internet back. LOL

  11. S. J. Pajonas (spajonas) says:

There’s so much to do next week and so little time! I’m getting anxious just thinking about it. I’m jealous of your warmer weather. It’s going to be in the 20s here on Thanksgiving.

    • fuonlyknew says:

I have a quiet week after Wednesday. My son and I both have birthdays coming up this month and plan to stay home and celebrate them during Thanksgiving. It’ll be nice to just lay back:)

  12. Northwoman says:

The holiday dog books look so cute. I also grabbed a couple to the holiday freebies you hauled. I read up most of my novellas this week. Maybe I’ll get to longer books next year.

Have a great Thanksgiving week. We also had the cold, rain until Friday and now we have 55-60 but at least it’s like fall, not winter now. Anne – Books of My Heart

    • fuonlyknew says:

I went on Amazon and the dog books aren’t cheap. I got them for $1.oo each. Such a deal. I’ll be sharing reviews next month. It sure is nice having the sun come out. So many rainy windy days. Yuck!

  13. Liliana says:

It’s been about 30 degrees here and all the cars were frosted over… it’s cold! But the other day I was out with a friend and I had bundled up but I went out and I got HOT! It was only like 45 degrees but that felt really good to me. Lol. I stripped my jacket and I was fine. Idk, I’m weird. Lol.

Hope you have a great Thanksgiving!

  14. Sorry your internet connection went down. That’s always a big pain! Love all your doggy books. 🙂

    • fuonlyknew says:

It is! I did read some good books while I was offline though. It’s turned in to dog month on my blog. I didn’t plan it. Just happened. LOL

  15. Rachel @Waves of Fiction says:

It’s a bummer when the internet goes down! Hope you’re enjoying the cooler weather and your yard work doesn’t take up too much time. I Want a Bad Boy for Christmas looks fun! Happy reading! 🙂

    • fuonlyknew says:

I feel like I’m missing so much when I can’t go online. Got most of the yard work done and even got most of the house work done too. One good thing about cooler weather. LOL There are some fun holiday reads. I had to grab a few.

  16. I actually finished two Christmas themed books already. I’m rather proud (of course I’m reading a thriller now – haha). I love those Santa Paws books – what an awesome thrift store find. We have miserable rain a lot too and even some flurries although they never did land. I hope you have a great Thanksgiving!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I’ve been reading some horror in between the cozies and holiday books. The Santa Paws books were a great find. I love thrift shops. Yard sales too!

  17. kozbisa says:

November doesn’t seem too early for the furnace – is it? We had a snow storm, and November is too early for that in NJ if you ask me. It was a rough day. More puppy covers!!! They look old school too. Hope you and yours have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

    • fuonlyknew says:

It’s too early here for a furnace. Crazy weather! Yep, more pups. Got some more to share this coming week too.

  18. Yvonne says:

Oooh, those freebies! Some I had and some I didn’t and they were still free.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

  19. Enjoy your warm Thanksgiving. The Quality of Silence was a good read. Have a great week.

  20. Lots of great books you got here! I need to put up my Christmas decorations soon!

    Here’s my Sunday Post!

Ronyell @ Rabbit Ears Book Blog and join in this week’s Book Photo Sundays

  21. I got out the Christmas decorations, too, and I managed to actually get a lot put out. This is the earliest I have ever decorated. My tree is up!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I’ve not got any put out yet. I’ll start on that Friday. I will be decorating the tree tomorrow night. I like to have it up for my son’s birthday.

  22. Wow, 70s? It’s so cold and snowy here. Enjoy your time off work. Have a good week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

It’s nice and warm but the nights are still pretty chilly. I’ll be enjoying the long weekend with some good books and movies:)

  23. Aww, good luck with blog hopping away! And it sounds like you got all 4 seasons constantly rotating around you all week. What a strange world we live in sometimes.

Santa Paws! That was a good part of my childhood if I recall and I think I enjoyed them a lot when my mom got them from the library.

    • fuonlyknew says:

Yep. The weather is all over the place. LOL I was thrilled to find the Santa Paws books. I kind of remember them from when I was a youngster:)

  24. You certainly have a great selection of holiday books!

  25. Gayathri Lakshminarayanan says:

We had a sort of weird weather here too in Dubai this week. At least it is not scorching hot anymore. But I am glad you got to work on the yard, despite the rain. Have a good week ahead.

    Gayathri @ Elgee Writes

  26. It’s still cold here and I’m not a fan! That’s too bad about your internet provider. The one we used to have went down all the time and drove me absolutely crazy. Hopefully yours is a little more reliable! Hope you’re having a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

It got a bit chilly again today but won’t last long. The internet problem doesn’t happen often and never for this long. I’m hoping it doesn’t happen again.
