This is my own version of a weekly book haul and all things new on fuonlyknew.

I’m also linking up with The Sunday Post hosted by Kimberly @Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Some chit chat.

I swear the weather pattern here is on repeat. It got super cold mid week and then Saturday it turned warm and rained like crazy. Then it’s supposed to turn cold again beginning of next week. It keeps doing this. I guess I shouldn’t complain. I get those warm breaks even if I can’t go outside and do much with all the rain.

My life is on repeat too. LOL Working a lot, reading some good books and watching some movies and shows. I plan to watch Meg tonight. Been waiting a long time to see it. The reviews are a mixed bag but I’m going into it with no expectations except a giant shark! LOL

Have a fabulous  Sunday and brand new week!

  1. Greg says:

Well the warm part sounds good if only the rain would stop, right? Haha! It’s been cold here. 20’s- Yikes! Ooh I hope you liked The Meg! Nothing like a fun shark movie. 🙂

Slay Bells haha! that looks awesome.

    • fuonlyknew says:

It just rained and rained. I’ll take the warm though. Was talking to my mom in Michigan. It got pretty cold up there! I plan to enjoy Meg. And Slay Bells was fun.

  2. Gayathri Lakshminarayanan says:

I loved the Meg and you will too if you have like zero expectations about it. Have a great week ahead!

  3. We’ve had the same kind of weather pattern as you – only we had sun in the morning and heavy rain and winds in the evening. It’s very wet outside, and the dogs are disgusting when they come inside from playing in the garden.
    I hope you’ll enjoy the Meg 🙂
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.

    • fuonlyknew says:

My dog loves the rain. He’ll go out there and sit. I have to coax him back in and then there’s water everywhere. LOL

  4. I got my copy of The Meg on Friday from Amazon and hope to watch it tonight but it is only 12 rated so I don’t think I’m getting a ton of blood and gore which is disappointing!

  5. The weather here has been pretty consistent-cold! But, I love it!
    Have a good week!

  6. We’re in the middle of a snow storm right now . . . a great day for reading.:-) The Tollkeeper looks really good.

  7. Stormi D Johnson says:

We dodged a snow bullet so I will take the cold for now then it warms up a tad and then there is snow again in the forecast this weekend. 🙁 I am so ready for spring.

You got some cool books, hope you enjoy them!

    Week in Review

    • fuonlyknew says:

Our weather pattern is similar except no snow. It had gotten cold early this winter and that has me worried for a tough winter.

  8. It was comfortable the last week but now it dropped so much it’s freezing. I am not sure what the week will bring but it could be anything.

Enjoy your books! You got some good ones!

Have a great week, Laura! Happy Reading!

  9. And we have a lot of snow! Wishing you a nice week without the changeable weather this time 🙂

  10. Anne says:

Yes it’s a 5 day cycle. Warm to cold. Today it’s snow, in 5 days it will be almost 60. But this is unusual because the cold cycle has precipitation. Normally, it’s warm and rain, then cold and dry.

Time to stay in and enjoy books! Have a great week. Anne – Books of My Heart

  11. So many tempting books! I’m curious about Camouflage. Enjoy your week, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

  12. Lindsi says:

I’m really loving those flamingos at the bottom! It’s a very southern-like winter. Here in Texas it doesn’t get very cold, and it rarely snows. My son asks me all the time when he can make a snowman, and I tell him we’ll have to move up North before we can that.

    Lindsi @ Do You Dog-ear?

    • fuonlyknew says:

I love those flamingos. I saw a tree decorated with them the other night:) I grew up in the north and was used to lots of snow. Been living in the south for a long time now. My son was thrilled the first time he saw snow. It was more like ice balls though. LOL

  13. kozbisa says:

You weather this past week is mine for the upcoming week. It’s been in the 20s and teens in the AM (you know, when I walk to the bus stop), and mid 30s, low 40s during the day, but we are going to see 50s and rain next week. Whatever, better than snow – every time.

    • fuonlyknew says:

Yes, anything is better than snow. I loved it when I lived up north and was young. Now I’m older and live in the south and cold and me don’t get along. LOL

  14. Andreea P. says:

Meg was a fun film – I hope you enjoy it too. The weather is weird here too, I am not even trying anymore.

  15. Yvonne says:

It’s cold here, but no snow so I’m happy. I loved Glitter Bomb. The JoAnn Ross book looks good. I like her writing. Have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I won the hardcover of Glitter Bomb. The cover is gorgeous and it’s fun to read books where the story is located in a place I’ve visited.

  16. Meg is fun enough. I hope you enjoy it! I think going in with no expectations is a good plan.

  17. Carole says:

The weather seems to be stuck on cold here. I would love some warmth but you can keep the rain 🙂 Lots of new books this week. I hope you love them all!

  18. sjhigbee says:

That weather pattern sounds dire! A bit like the UK during a normal winter… Except I’m guessing your warm, wet spells are a lot warmer than ours! Nothing wrong with reading and watching stuff on the TV – it’s winter, after all:). Have a good week, Laura.

  19. S. J. Pajonas (spajonas) says:

I could really go for some warm weather here. it’s a balmy 25ºF here! Brrr…

    • fuonlyknew says:

It’s cloudy, blustery and cold here! The sun is supposed to come out later but the winds will keep it chilly.

  20. The weather here has been cold as well but it could be worse, if I was further south I would have gotten creamed in that snowstorm. I love the Dachshund books – they look so cute!

    • fuonlyknew says:

No snow here. We get it so rarely that it is actually exciting when we do! LOL I grabbed those cute dog books for the Puppy Love Challenge next year.

  21. Heidi says:

Even if the weather seems to be on repeat, at least you aren’t getting any terrible storms. It has been calm here in the Northwest. Some showers and sun nothing dramatic. I will take it.

  22. There are worse things to have on repeat than movies and books even when work is also in the mix! 🙂
    Enjoy The Meg!

  23. Tammy says:

I’m curious about Camouflage, I’ve seen it on a few other blogs. Have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I just finished reading Fossil River and the two books sound similar so I’m excited to give Camouflage a try.

  24. I’ve seen good things about Camouflage. Hope you enjoy it. The billboard along for The Meg scares me! Hope it’s good and scary and not just a cheesy type of Jaws.

  25. Ladies of Horror Fiction says:

Oooh, I see an alien invasion novel there written by a lady!

  26. Didn’t post this week. I will return though.
    sherry @ fundinmental

  27. I’m waiting for the rain to clear away the foot of snow we got here in NC. lol I think it may start tonight and squat here for a couple days. That’s ok with me.

I wouldn’t mind seeing The Meg. Is it on Netflix? I may need to check it out. Or maybe Redbox has it.

    • fuonlyknew says:

It warmed up here but raining all day again. Supposed to be sunny and mild for a while after this front moves out. The Meg is on Netflix, but only as a DVD. I bet Redbox has it.

  28. herding cats says:

LOL our weather is doing the same thing. 8 inches of snow…endless days of rain…sunny and flipflops. Heh

  29. Lynn says:

I wouldn’t mind the warm bits either! I definitely not used to the cold anymore and I’m always shocked when I step outside in the morning. I hope you’ll enjoy all your books!
