This is my own version of a weekly book haul and all things new on fuonlyknew.

I’m also linking up with The Sunday Post hosted by Kimberly @Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Some chit chat.

It was a great week. Nothing really happened but I just felt happy all week. I’m wondering if it has anything to do with the weather. It has been 70s and muggy here. The pollen is so thick that my car looks green every morning even though it’s actually dark blue. And my eyes are itchy and red. Sounds like I’m complaining, but I’m not. It means that spring is in the air. Time to get out the pool floats, bathing suits and flip flops! Woo Hoo!!!!

 Have a lovely Sunday everyone.

  1. Enjoy your books! Emily, Gone is headed my way soon. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Greg says:

I’m all for the pool and flip flops haha, even though it’ll be a while for me yet. 🙂 Glad it’s been nice down there though. 70’s sounds so nice!

Touch of Iron looks pretty good!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I’m sure enjoying the spring weather, Greg! Touch Of Iron does have a great cover, and a strong title too.

  3. We’ve been hit with hayfever this week too. I need a stronger anti-histamine this year if the past week has been an indication. 🙁

  4. Yay!! Glad you are feeling happy for the Spring!

    Here’s my Sunday Post!

Ronyell @ Rabbit Ears Book Blog and join in this week’s Book Photo Sundays

  5. I’d get a lot more exercise if I had a nice indoor swimming pool! I keep telling my dad to win the lottery but no luck so far!

  6. A green car, now that IS a lot of pollen! Your book collection looks fab!

    • fuonlyknew says:

It isn’t even as thick as it gets yet. I go out some mornings and it will be piled up on the windshield wipers where it slid down the glass! Everything gets covered in the stuff. And I had such a great week in new book arrivals!

  7. Wow! You got a lot of great looking books, Laura! And you’re just rubbing it in for all of us who still have snow and even sub-zero temps…lol.

I hope you have a great week as you get even closer to swimming weather.

    • fuonlyknew says:

Sorry about rubbing it in! I used to live up north and don’t miss the long frozen winters there. I hope to dip in the pool withing a couple of weeks. Still needs some cleaning and getting the chemicals balanced.

  8. SO jealous of your weather. We are about to get 7 inches of snow today into tomorrow and I am so ready for the spring. I think I am getting to old for this cold weather lol.

I hope you have a great week, Laura! Enjoy the pool! *making pouty face* Happy Reading! xx

    • fuonlyknew says:

We’re supposed to get a cold front tonight and dip back to 50s for a few days with around 40 at night. I hope that’s the last wintry blast here!

  9. Tammy says:

Wow, nice package from Flame Tree Press! I have a copy of Stoker’s Wilde from NetGalley and I can’t wait to read it😁

    • fuonlyknew says:

They sent me some good ones! Supposed to cool down here for a few days and I’ll snuggle up with some of these:)

  10. So many books! I hope you will enjoy all of them! 🙂

  11. Beware Of The Reader says:

I should try to be more like you this week Laura: happy! Now I don’t have a pool in my garden LOL Anyway let’s hope that your great mood goes on next week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I hope it continues too, Sophie. I’ve been a happy camper even though the sun has been hiding behind some clouds:)

  12. Yvonne says:

I’m glad you had a good week! Those books look wonderful. Enjoy and I hope this is another good week for you!

  13. Wow lots of books! Yay for book mail. Happy is good. I can believe it if you had sunshine. Muggy is less good. I hope this week is happy and less itchy and enjoy your reads!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I’m stocked up on eye drops and the AC is keeping it cool. Even though it’s supposed to cool off again this coming week, I’ll be smiling when that sun comes out:)

  14. Sounds great that you’ve already got tons of pollen. It’s snowing here in Ohio. I’m ready for spring or well, late spring. I’m not big on early spring because of the mud. So much mud. I’m ready for it to be gone. Have a great week.

Melanie @ Hot Listens & Books of My Heart

    • fuonlyknew says:

I remember the mud after the snow melted. Everything looked bleak until it dried out and things started to turn green. We don’t get snow where I live not but it can get pretty cold. i usually try to get in the pool around the end of March. Hoping this little cold front coming through moves on quickly. The sun is already toasty here and should heat the water up to get in.

  15. alisbooks says:

    Great haul this week!

  16. I’m glad you’ve had such a great week and are feeling happy. I definitely think good weather can makes us feel so much better.
Your new books look great! Especially the second and third one.
Have a great week and happy reading.

  17. Oh nice book haul!! I just read an article that pollen season is going to be BAD this year so I am going to have to invest in tons of nasal spray!

    • fuonlyknew says:

We had a mild winter so I know it will be bad here. Never used to bother me but now my eyes get all crazy!

  18. Carole says:

I would be happy to have some spring in my area. It is snow, snow, and more snow. Blah. Great haul! I love the Flame Tree Press books! Enjoy!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I noticed that another huge dump of snow was in order for a lot of people. We’ll get some of the cooler weather here, but none of the white stuff. I’m hoping this is the last gasp of winter here.

  19. Such a great book haul – The Invited is one that totally stands out for me. I’m looking it up. Snagged a freebie, too (Beautiful Demons) – thanks!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I got The Invited from Netgalley and can’t wait to start on it. The Beautiful Demons set sounds wild and fun so I had to grab that one myself.

  20. Ohhhh it looks like you got a bunch of good books this week! I hope you enjoy them!

    Happy reading, girl! 🙂

  21. Yay for a happy week! But yikes, that pollen sounds awful! I don’t think I’d be happy about allergies lol.

    • fuonlyknew says:

Even the pollen didn’t get me down. LOL We have a cold front settling in for the next couple of days and I hope it clears up some of the pollen.

  22. I could list all the books here I want, or ones I’ve also grabbed, but it would take too long. Let’s just say YOU’RE KILLING ME! Oh, and we have snow. Double whammy!

    • fuonlyknew says:

Isn’t it fun to love the same kind of books! We didn’t get snow, but it’s really cold for the next few days.

  23. kozbisa says:

70s doesn’t sound so bad to me. Right now we are having a little snowstorm. –sigh– Oooh, and lots of book mail too. Enjoy!

  24. Gayathri Lakshminarayanan says:

That is quite a lot of books. Have fun and I hope you have a great week ahead!

  25. Gracious alive! That’s a lot of new books!

  26. S. J. Pajonas (spajonas) says:

Lots of great books this week! I’m jealous of your weather. We just got 8″ of snow last night. 🙁 Boo.

    • fuonlyknew says:

Wow. That’s a lot of white stuff! We are cold here tight now. Getting down to freezing at night for the next couple of days. Maybe it will tamp down the pollen!

  27. asreadbytina says:

We’ve had really good weather this past week. The week before we had Texas snow (as in it snowed for like 15 minutes lol) and now we’re in the 70s almost 80s. I’m enjoying but the drastic weather made me sick. That’s the only downside but I am so ready for Spring.

Great haul! I hope you have a wonderful week!

Tina @ As Told By Tina

  28. Stormi D Johnson says:

Spring might be about to spring there but I am not so sure about here….BRRRRRRR! I think today has been one of our coldest but it seems like March is always bad here in Mo. I do hope spring is about the come though!

You got a lot of cool books hope you love them all!
    Stormi

    • fuonlyknew says:

We usually get one or two quick winter blasts in March and then it’s pretty much spring. Freezing here right now!

  29. Wow, you already have pollen and mugginess? It snowed here last night. Enjoy your new books. Have a good week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

Yep, muggy and green with pollen. We are getting a cold front for a few days. Dipping into the 30s the next couple of nights. By Friday, back to warm and muggy:)

  30. I envy your weather but I’m hoping you keep the pollen for a few more weeks! I’m not a fan! Hope you’re having a great week!

  31. Pollen? Not here yet..only snow, snow and more snow! Emily, Gone was so good.

  32. Lola says:

I like those weeks were I feel happy even with nothing special happening. Maybe it’s the weather, it’s great when it’s getting warmer after winter. We had some spring weather last week, but we’re back to autumn weather now. I hope you had another great week!

  33. That is the best happy week but nothing exciting happened. I am so ready for some relaxing pool time. Enjoy your reads.

    • fuonlyknew says:

The pool is almost ready but that water is still pretty cold. A week or so of sunny weather and it will be warm enough to get in. I do like cold water:)
