Synopsis

Ten years after their college days together, three wounded and very different women reunite for a summer on the island of Martha’s Vineyard. As they come to grips with the challenges and crises in their lives, their encounter with a reclusive poacher, known only as “the fisherman,” threatens to change everything they believe about their world-and each other.

I added this to my list back in November of 2014. I can’t remember why I added it but it does intrigue me now.

  1. Sounds interesting but I’m going to be honest. That cover doesn’t scream Vineyard to me.

Hmm, there is a fisherman? Maybe that has something to do with why she’s in the water? Or maybe the cover is a metaphor for something? I’m curious to find out.

  2. Tammy says:

I do love that cover, I have a thing for underwater images😁

  3. yvonne473 says:

I never heard about this one but it does sound like a good one.

  5. Beware Of The Reader says:

I love that cover Laura but you make me laugh when you confess not remembering why you added it! It’s so me!!!

  6. That cover! This does sound interesting. I hope you enjoy this one when you do get around to reading it!

  7. Sam@WLABB says:

The first part of the synopsis sounded like something I would vibe with, and then the fisherman entered the story. He sounds like one of those scary stories you tell, when you are out int he woods.

  8. Greg Hill says:

Ooh I love that cover! I generally go for water covers anyway, especially if they have an eerie or mysterious tone, but that one’s awesome. 🙂

  9. What a perfect setting for a novel! Sounds like one that should be on my TBR as well.

  10. Vague blurbs never drag me in I’m afraid. I need to hear a bit more about a story before I get interested. I’m with Barb about the cover and title not matching. That’s weird! Hope you enjoy it though!

  11. Carole says:

I love the cover and I am curious how it ties into the story. It does sound interesting and I hope you enjoy it, Laura!
