Some chit chat.

Wouldn’t you know it. Things are starting to look a little more normal here and we now have another tropical storm heading into the Gulf. Got my fingers, toes and eyes crossed that it steers away from here this time!

I’m still behind on posting reviews and visiting posts as much as I’d like. I have been reading a lot. Got some good scary books and can’t seem to stop reading. I go from one right to the next. I have to make myself write all of those reviews, dang it. I love writing reviews. Just seem to be struggling with my mojo at this time.

Stay safe and take care!

I hope the storm misses you. What’s left of hurricane season? It runs through November, no? Let’s hope the last month is very quiet. You and me both need to write those reviews. It’s so easy fall behind.

  2. Hope that storm bypass you too! It’s been one hectic hurricane season! It reminds of a horrible tornado season we had here a couple years ago…makes the stress level rise up!

I see some creature books there that I want…lol. 🙂 You should do like I do as I am behind a bit. I do a group of book and review them, even a small review is better than nothing. 🙂

We’ve set some records with storms this year. Can’t wait for the season to be over. I’m reading a bunch of creature books. Got many more than I had time to share in this post!

  3. Tammy says:

Oh wow, stay safe, Laura! And enjoy your new books😁

  4. Sophie @BewareOfTheReader says:

First I hope that the storm will spare you this time. You need some peaceful days! Then don’t fret about writing review and visiting blogs. Remember that all this started just because you enjoy reading! It’s our therapy so that’s what we should do. Sending positive thoughts your way Laura!

It’s been such a strange year. I looked at my review stats and was shocked at how many less I wrote this year. I am enjoying so many books though:)

  5. I hope you don’t get more bad weather this year. I am reading pretty well but I have to slow down to write reviews that make sense. That’s part of why I read library books or even ones I own because then I don’t have to write reviews, although I can choose to review them. I always write a sentence or two on Goodreads though. Happy reading!

I’m going to restart my Monday Minis Reviews so I can at least write something about the books I’ve enjoyed:)

So many storms! I really hope this one misses you. Take care and have a great week!

  8. Katherine says:

Reading a lot sounds like the best medicine. I’m hoping the storms fade off. The coast has had enough! That Kristen Weiss is really fun. I really enjoyed that series. Hope you have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

It’s funny that I’m into horror books right now. You’d think I’d want something cozy after this summer of the storms. LOL

  9. I hope that you can weather the storms safely! It sounds like you have lots of great seasonal reads to keep you busy. Stay safe! <3

  10. oooo dinosaurs and sea monsters…looking good

  11. S. J. Pajonas (spajonas) says:

Fingers crossed that storm peters out before it hits land!

  12. I LOVED Teeth of the sea and I hope you like it too! I also bought Edit but haven’t read it yet. Rick is one of my favourite authors! I’m keeping everything crossed that this storm avoids you.

  13. Barb @ Booker T's Farm says:

I hope you manage to stay safe. I am ready for 2020 to be over. I love the looks of a lot of these books.
