Some chit chat.

It was a week of reading and watching shows and movies when I wasn’t working. I wish I had a job that paid me to do that. I call it comfort hibernation. LOL

How’s the weather where you’re at? It’s been very cold here but at least the sun shines now and then. I find it hard to get motivated when it’s cold and cloudy.

Stay safe and have a great new week!

I started Wandavision this week. It’s been cold here too- brrr. Hope you have a nice weekend. 🙂

  2. Cold has been the order of the day over here what with the snow and then rain and wind. I’m glad I’m not having to venture out in it for anything!

  3. Sam@WLABB says:

I wish I had that job too, lol! Hope the comfort hibernation left you recharged.

  4. We got quite a bit of snow last night, but it’s almost all melted now, so I guess that might be it for this ‘winter’. It’s gray and dreary weather here, and it just makes me want to stay in bed. Sadly, that’s not an option.
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading and show-watching 🙂

  5. Sadly it has been cold, wet and miserable here in the UK! Although the sun has made an appearance this morning! 🌞 I don’t mind cold if the sun is shining. Also good to hear you have been enjoying lots of books, TV shows and films. Take care and I hope this continues in the coming week. 😊

    Here’s my Sunday Post: https://thebookwormchronicles.wordpress.com/2021/01/17/%f0%9f%99%8f-sunday-reflection-17th-january-2021/ 🙂

I know what you mean about hibernation – but at least the days are beginning to get longer! And yes… we have had cold and gloomy days, but the sun is shining now and we have had some lovely winter skies this last week. In the meantime, I’m sorry you can’t snuggle down with more good books!

  7. We had weeks of rain and grey weather, a few days of real cold but bright sunshine, and yesterday, we had our first walk in the snow for years ! It’s melted now…. Enjoy your week – hibernation is great !

  8. Comfort Hibernation! Love it! So I see a theme with your new reads! Look at all the cute dogs! 🙂 Hope you like the Love Inspired ones I use to read those a lot when I was younger Lynette Eason is really good. 🙂

  9. got a dog theme going there. they all look good. thanks for sharing

  10. Sophie @BewareOfTheReader says:

Bwahahhaha Comfort Hibernation! You should brand it and ask for royalties as i think that’s the best way to describe how most of us feel in winter. Have a great week Laura!

  11. Tammy says:

We’re lucky here in Los Angeles, we’ve been having a heat wave with temps in the 80s. Its unusual for January, though. Hope you have a good week, Laura!

  12. It is cold here, but its January in Ohio, so…typical! Have a great week!

  13. Here in Illinois it’s cold (around 33 degrees, a few flurries) and cloudy. I am ready for spring…but know we have a few months to go before then. I am also busy working on my novel #31: Dinosaur Lake VI: The Alien Connection. I’m tired of this pandemic and can’t wait until I am able to receive my vaccine shots. The last 12 months have been something. (Stressful)

  14. Mareli Thalwitzer says:

We’ve had some lovely summery weather here with a bit of rain that is much needed! Love all your K9 books, hope you enjoy it!

Thanks for the shoutout on the freebies! I just got Cozy up to death.

Hope you will have a good week!

  15. yvonne473 says:

I want to read the K9 books. They look good. It’s cooler than usual here, but nothing to complain about. It’s been nice to take walks. I hope you have a great week!

  16. Carole says:

It has been cold here but not too terrible. It’s not been too bad walking the dogs most days. This is the kind of weather that make you want to stay inside and cozy. I hope you have a great week! Happy Reading!

  17. M. Ravenel says:

It’s been cold here, as well, but I’ve been staying warm and cozy with some hot chocolate and lots of blankets! 🙂
I love all those K-9 book covers. They look like some interesting reads!

  18. The weather here in Scotland has been snow snow snow then ice! It’s starting to melt now, it makes me want to hibernate!

  19. Northwoman says:

It looks like you got some great dog stories. I’ve been reading an FBI K9 series by Sara Driscoll from the library and it’s excellent. I am thankful to be able to hibernate when I feel like crap. I’ve gotten in a LOT of reading. Enjoy your new reads!

Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post

  20. It’s very cold and windy here, but luckily there isn’t much snow on the ground. I don’t like going out when it’s cold, but I really hate slogging through snow. Have a good week!

  21. Katherine says:

Movies and relaxing sound wonderful! I like comfort hibernation. We actually got a little snow but none of it stuck. It was pretty to see though. Have a great week!

  22. Getting paid to read really would be the ultimate job! I hope that the weather gets nicer for you. We are heading into a polar vortex where I am, so consider me jealous of your weather. 😉

  23. S. J. Pajonas (spajonas) says:

We should all get paid to sit around, read, and enjoy life! I like this idea IMMENSELY.

  24. Nicci @ Sunny Buzzy Books says:

I’d love a job that paid me to read and watch movies! Ah… We can dream.
Hope you have a good week!

  25. Berls says:

Ha! It would be grand to get paid to read and watch tv/movies! I would have no trouble working a full week 🙂 Our weather has been nice enough thank goodness – mostly 50s and sun. I prefer warmer, but for January I can’t complain. Have a great week!
