To join in, copy and paste these rules and the above banner into your Fanged Mania post and add your link to this week’s Fanged Mania post at Elisabeth Wheatley’s Blog. Fanged Mania is a Friday meme counting down to the release of Fanged Princess and displaying all things vampire and awesome. Fanged Mania posts can be a review of a vampire book, a quote from the latest Vampire Diaries episode, a showcase of a cool vampire book’s cover, or whatever you like so long as it is vampire related. Don’t forget, participants will be entered in the drawing to win a fanged-abulous prize pack!

The prize pack I mentioned includes Vampire Diaries and Breaking Dawn posters as well as a paperback copy of Erica Steven’s Captured (my review here) and the complete collection of The Vampire Hunter’s Daughter stories by Jennifer Malone Wright, in paperback, too! =D

Oh, and the contest is international. And the more Fanged Mania posts you have, the more entries you get! So what are you waiting for? Hop on the bandwagon!

Welcome to the many faces of Buffy The Vampire Slayer

I’ve been a Buffy Fan since the beginning. I used to come home from work and get everything done so I could sit and watch the show. My son became a fan too! We used to argue over which was better, Buffy The Vampire Slayer or Zena, Warrior Princess. What can I say, we like kick-ass chicks!

Which show is your favorite?

Something for all of you slayers!

I don’t know about you guys, but my vampire slayer kit isn’t complete without the crossbow. Never leave home without it!

Buffy was one of the best shows on TV. Even it’s weakest season (season 4, IMO) was better than anything on, at the time. The writing, the acting, the fights, everything about the show was top notch. And I don’t even like vampires.

With you all the way. Except I do like my vamps. I still love watching the reruns and now and then I find an episode I missed. The atmosphere is great, episodes are never boring and Buffy can kick ass! All the ingredients for a fantastic show.

  2. Sherry says:

Awesome. I never really watched Buffy, but I got kinda hooked on Angel, Supernatural and even Charmed. lol

  3. Emma says:

Buffy changed so much over the years. She’s hardly recognizable as the silly girl who walked into Sunnydale seeming blonder than blonde.

    • Erik Smith says:

One of Joss Whedon’s greatest strengths is in the growth of his characters. Whether it was a main character like Buffy, Willow, and Xander, or an ancillary character like Jonathan, Harmony, or Andrew, no one remained unchanged.
I think that one of the greatest character arcs EVER on TV was that of Wesley; from fussy priss to tragic bad-ass. Wesley had many of my favorite lines/moments, in all of Buffy/Angel.

      • fuonlyknew says:

The success of a show or a book is all about the characters and how they grow. That’s what makes it realistic and keeps you coming back for more.
I’m partial to Spike. I like my bad boys and he kind of reminds me of Billy Idol! lol

      • Emma says:

Yes, I grew to love Wesley. But even when he was an idiot in season 3 of Buffy and season 1 of Angel, he cracked me up.

    • fuonlyknew says:

That’s what makes her so great. She has to change and mature to keep it real.

  4. While I liked watching Xena Warrior Princess (and Hercules, I loved when the two crossed over and one character was in an episode of the other show!), Buffy was definitely my favourite! Both Latimer and I loved watching Buffy! It was always on on a Friday night, along with an episode of Angel straight after it at 10, it used to be such a fantastic way to start your weekend!! 😀

    • fuonlyknew says:

I love it too! They do that in a lot of shows now and those are my favorite episodes.
My son and I used to hurry up and eat so we could make a big bowl of popcorn and gorge on it and watch Buffy and Angel.
