This is my own version of a book haul post and all things new on fuonlyknew this week.
I got a few books. Some free, some for review, some I won, and some because I just had to have them.
Another fun way to share your book news and enjoy others is the

Books for Review
~~
A & E Kirk are Aylssa and Eileen, the mother and daughter writers of YA paranormal romantic thrillers. I signed up for the tour and they kindly sent me the books. You can catch my post on October 22nd. I’m not required to review them, but I’m going to try. It’s going to be a fun series and the covers just blew me away!
~~~
And these came in the mail Saturday. I’m giving them away in the 5th Annual Spooktacular Giveaway Hop starting October 15th thru the 31st. Going to be hard to part with them!
~~~
These I picked up just for me!
You’ve probably noticed some holiday books here today. I’m always looking to add to my review line-up and found some good ones!
I spotted these for free over on Emily Guido’s blog. She does a Friday Pay It Forward Post and I’ve discovered some awesome authors and books. Her blog is so colorful and fun and she is the author of the wonderful Light Bearer Series.. These are short stories, around 20 pages. If I enjoy them I’ll be heading back to get this one for the New year.
And then I grabbed these.
~~~
And here are some freebies for ya! Just click on the covers to get yours.
And remember to make sure they’re still free before you click that buy button.
And a few more.
So, what did you get to read this week?
Got any recommendations?
I’d love to know and thanks so much for visiting fuonlyknew.
Okay I’m jealous to the max. I work and spend my extra time editing and writing, which I love, but I also equally love reading too! I live vicariously through you and your sis! Lots of love, Emily
Glad to share it with ya Emily! You just keep on writing for us!
Wow, impressive post! I like your new style…and I am definitely curious about these books. I am intrigued by the look of The Strange Case of Susanna….
Enjoy your week, and here’s MY WEEKLY SUNDAY/MONDAY UPDATES POST
Thanks so much. I’ll be reviewing Strange Case for October. Lots of scary stuff for Halloween.
Interesting books! An impressive selection. Thanks for stopping by!
I’m all over the place in genres. LOL Thanks for stopping by too!
🙂
Bay’s End looks good and hope you have a good week.
Bay’s End is excellent. I’ve read all but Edward’s newest and I love his writing. I’m just getting started on his collaborated collection, Bad Apples.
Oh The Maze Runner! I should read that series, as my friend already did and she is bugging me when we’ll go to see the movie (which is not cool as usually I’m the one driving people to read) but still. You’ve got some amazing books and I truly hope you’ll enjoy them all. Great post! 🙂
I didn’t even open the box when The Maze Runner series arrived. I’d be tempted to read them and they are slated to giveaway in October. LOL
Oh I really love the look of your site. I love that you have a list of all the books you read so neatly posted on a page, how organized you look. Thanks for the FREE list, I one-clicked I Hope You Find Me. I love how this post is laid out with everything a weekly wrap-up should have, including a link to a fellow blogger. I am subscribing now.
Thanks for your lovely comments Karen. I like to showcase authors and books I enjoy.This is my escape and relaxation. I’ve made lots of new friends through blogs and authors and look forward to chatting with you:)
I’ve had Demon at Deadnight for awhile, but put of reading it because I wanted to wait for the 2nd book to come out first. Now … I need to get on it. 🙂
I do that a lot. I wait for the complete series or at least the second book so I don’t have to wait too long between the books and lose the story.
I almost got Sapphire this week then decided I’d already gotten too many. You’ll have to let me know if it’s good!
It will be a while. It’s a long book! LOL
You did get a lo of books. I counted, I think we got about the same amount. Regardless, you and I binged. 😀 Those holiday books look…interesting. 😀 Happy reading!
I wonder if there’s a group for us, like AA. LOL
You got lots of good looking books this week. Have a great week reading some of them!
Thanks Jan. I’m reading and reading and reading…LOL
The Zombie books look like fun!
I’m trying hard not to cheat and read them before I finish a couple of review books. LOL
Looks like a nice mix of holiday reads and scary stuff. I think Alibi Z looks interesting- and Christmas Bizarre looks like a fun read too. I’ve been kinda hoping to find some books for the readathons I want to do, so this will definitely give me some ideas. Hope you had good weekend.
The scary ones are for Halloween. And it’s never to early to start gathering Thanksgiving and Chrostmas reads. They already have Christmas decorations out in some of the stores!
Nice books you got there ♥
Here’s my latest haul :
Newly Owned to Read! #3
They are a mixed bag of genres. It’s fun to mix it up.
I couldn’t agree more 🙂
Drat. I missed some of the freebies, but I did get a couple. Nice haul and happy reading.
You forgot to stop by yesterday! I think I can loan them though:)
I didn’t forget, just a lot going on. Of course, there’s football!! We are also working on the yard, prepping for the colder weather. We lost some stuff last winter, as you know, so I don’t want to procrastinate…like I usually do. LOL Mulch, mulch and more mulch.
Check out Emily’s comment back to you on her post. I think she’s going to try to get those books for you!
That’s such a nice a haul. It’s great to see that most of them are themed for the upcoming holidays. Most of them seemed like really scary, though. Sounds like you’ll have a busy month!
Yeah. October goes dark here. LOL I’m gathering some wonderful holiday books too. Christmas will be here before we know it!
lots of books here, enjoy!
I intend too! LOL Going to be fun:)
Wow! You had the motherload of book hauls! That little girl on the cover of the Short Tales of Horror may give me nightmares. Seriously creepy. Enjoy your new goodies and I don’t envy you having to give away The Maze Runner box set. I love box sets and wouldn’t want to part with them either. Have a great week!
She’s so cute and creepy. I’ve not read any of Regina’s books so this will be a fun start.
Last year I gave away The Hunger Games Set. That was hard too! But it’s a fun giveaway and I still talk to many people I met through the tour last year.
Oh wow great haul! Lots of Halloween goodies! I’m excited to read the new JL Bryan book! And I also need to get me a copy of the Maze Runner series I haven’t read it and I’d like to before seeing the movie!
Halloween and Christmas books. Trying to get a head start for my holiday reviews. I bought The Maze Runner print copies to giveaway so I got the ebooks for me. I’m thinking they aren’t that long and I can at least get the first book read before I see the movie.
I’m a huge zombie fan-going to have to check out Zombie Christmas for sure 😀
I love zombie stories and Anthony is a new author to me. I’m looking forward to these.
Wow, you sure did pull in a lot of books this week! Have fun, especially with the holiday books and the new Emily Castle mystery – that’s a series I keep meaning to start.
I’m getting ready for all of the holiday reads. One day it’s Halloween zombies, the next Thanksgiving contemporary lit, then Christmas comedy and drama. I really enjoyed Helen’s series so the short story should be fun too.
I have the Helen Smith book waiting to be reviewed. It looks good. Love the looks of the zombie books. Have a great week!
I read Helen’s series and really enjoyed them so when she asked if I would like to read her short story I jumped on it.
The zombie books are dessert. LOL I have a thing for them.
Looks like you got a lot of good books for review! Also looks like you reviewed some interesting ones so I am going to have to check them out. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by my blog.
I’ve been on a winning streak and had some really good stories. I wish I could do justice to them with my reviews. I just do the best I can.
Lots of holiday themed reads, I love it! I love reading myself into the holiday mood, it works really well.
Enjoy your books 🙂
It does set the mood and right now it’s dark and creepy! LOL
Ha, that cover of Real Elves is hilarious! All those books look lovely. Hope you enjoy them (:
I couldn’t resist it. Her series was so fun and this should be too.
Great haul this past week!! I love the cover of the Kirk books! I hope you get the chance to read them, and enjoy everything!
Aren’t they stunning! I’m on the tour in October and while it’s not required, I’m going to do my best to read and review them!
I want to read a zombie Christmas like right now!!!
I’m waiting for the complete set to arrive in my mailbox! Going to be such fun:)
Those are a lot of books! 🙂 I hope you’ll enjoy reading them all. I’m curious about the Maze Runner series because I’ve never read the books but I did recently see the Maze Runner movie and I’m intrigued by the story. Are the books good?
I haven’t started reading The Maze Runner books yet. Jus got the ebooks and the print ones are for a giveaway. I’m planning to go see the movie this weekend with my son.
Wow, you got a great haul last week! It’s a wide variety of books and I love some of the covers. These look great so I’m going to check these out. Happy reading and thank you for stopping by my blog =)
I love sharing books and hopping from post to post to see what everybody else is reading:)
