Some chit chat.

I feel like I keep repeating myself. LOL

Nothing new in my life at this time.

I’m still spending every minute I can with my mother and will be doing so until she returns to Michigan.

Mr. and Mrs. Wonderful (my sister and brother-in-law), along with my mother and I hit Wind Creek Casino again. I lost everything but my clothes! LOL Luckily I didn’t take that much money with me.

We had a blast and ate some great food too. I’m hoping we have one more trip before my mother hops on the plane home.

I did manage to get out some of my Fall and Halloween decorations. I’m missing two boxes of stuff and I’m debating whether I want to dig for them. I have a walk-in closet jamb packed with Christmas stuff in there. I usually keep the Halloween stuff in one place but must have got lazy and stuffed them anywhere in there. Don’t know if it’s worth the effort to drag everything out to find them. LOL

How about you? Doing any decorating yet?

Are you going to carve a pumpkin? I was thinking, not. But, now I think I will. It’s messy but scary fun and I love to roast the pumpkin seeds!

  1. Nice set of reviews, your free download Murder She Typed looks interesting. Have a great week.

  2. I held myself to one book. Looked at another, but already had it. Can you guess which one? LOL

Enjoy your time spent with your mom! I’ve never been to a casino before, knowing my luck I would probably lose all my money as well. I’ve never ate roasted pumpkin seeds, I didn’t even realize you could roast them till I saw it on pinterest this week. Pumpkins are always messy, but I do like them, although I prefer to put them in a dish instead of carving them. I do find it interesting to see how other people cut them up and what kind fo faces they make. Those two cozies you reviewed this week look interesting, will have to check out your reviews for them. I hope you have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

Thanks Lola. We are enjoying our time together. Not wasting a minute:) I cheated and just bought some pumpkin seeds today. Don’t want to bother with the mess. LOL

  4. nightowlbook says:

i went ahead and picked up some of those cozy too, thank you for sharing

  5. Sounds like you are having a blast with your mom. Enjoy your time. Thanks for the freebies! I always like to brows the free offers. Happy Reading!

  6. Thanks for sharing the free books both look good and I probably read .URDER SHE WROTE before long. I hace read and review SCRAPBOOK OF THE DEAD and FLORAL DEPRAVITY is high on my TBR list.
I tried to follow you but came up page was empty.
We do have similar tastes. I downloaded 4 books and I really have plenty to read.

    • fuonlyknew says:

Sounds like we do like the same kind of books. Glad you found some freebies you liked. How did you try to follow me. The only link I found not working is Facebook and that’s because I have to prove I’m me before they’ll let me back on after someone hacked me and I haven’t got around to it.

  7. I didn’t have all that much going on this week either. Kinda nice, huh? 🙂 I did get the decorating done last Sunday. Not sure if we’ll carve pumpkins or not. That’ll be up to the teens. Nice book haul! Enjoy!

  8. Oh, you have some tempting freebies. *hides eyes* I’ve never been to a casino, but I do want to go sometime. It sounds like you had a lot of fun, despite losing. 🙂 Have a great week!

  9. As normal I grabbed some of those freebies…lol. Hope you have a great reading week! 🙂

  10. There aren’t many review books out there that are grabbing my attention these days. Meh. Fine by me – I can keep working on my TBR!!

Yeah, pretty boring week over here, too. *yawn* I’m raising my coffee mug to you in salute!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I’m looking forward to tackling my TBR. My goal this year was to try to review books I signed up for on tours. Now, I’ll move on to limiting my review intake and getting to those books that have been waiting.

  11. Greg says:

Glad you guys are having a great visit. No decorations here – can’t believe it only about 2 weeks away. Yikes!

LOL about the casino. Easy come easy go right?

Murder She Typed looks fun. 🙂

    • fuonlyknew says:

I caved and bought some pumpkins. LOL It just doesn’t seem like Halloween without them. Especially as I don’t get trick-or-treaters out here.
The casino won, dang it! But we are having a splendid time. Thanks!

  12. No new books? That’s impressive! We did the outside Halloween decorations this week (the inside were done a few weeks ago but I hold off on the outside until October) we will probably wait until the week of to carve the pumpkins though. Enjoy your visit with your mom and have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I was shocked I had no new ones. LOL I have so many reviews this month and into the next that will keep me busy:)

  13. katarguelles says:

Having a normal week is always good and it sounds like you are having fun with your Mom. I don’t like going to casinos because I hate to lose lol. I usually just spend $20 and then wait for everyone else to finish. Sometimes that amount can last me a couple of hours when I’m lucky.

We don’t always carve pumpkins but I at least get some for outside. But with this warm weather I’ll probably wait until the last week to put them out so they stay fresh until Halloween.

I hope you have a good week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I lost more than @20 but not the kitchen sink. LOL We all ended at the same time, had some laughs and just might squeeze in one more trip.
I just picked up a couple pumpkins this morning. I’m going to try to carve them. LOL

  14. Good lookin books! I don’t know what to read next, maybe a cozy will work?

  15. Casinos are a lot of fun, but like you, I need to have a limit before I enter… It wouldn’t do to go home and have someone else moving in to my house 😉
Your new books look really good, especially Murder She Typed… made me think of Jessica Fletcher.
Have a fantastic week and happy reading!

    • fuonlyknew says:

Yeah, that would be really bad! I had to grab Murder She Typed. Reminded of the TV show too and I used to watch the reruns over and over. LOL

  16. Yvonne says:

I love going to casinos but I’m pretty good at knowing my limit. LOL All those cozies look good and I have a few of them. Enjoy! Have a great week!

  17. atothewr says:

I put out some minimal decorations. Just enough to set the mood even though it just doesn’t feel like Halloween at all to me. Watching Rocky Horror (annual tradition in October) didn’t even help. Guess it is just that kind of year.

  18. Heidi says:

Good thing you didn’t gamble away your clothes. That would have been embarrassing. Yes we are all decortated here, have costumes and headed to pumpkin patch this week to get the pumpkins.

  19. Angelized1st says:

I haven’t decorated yet, and Halloween is my favorite holiday. I guess I haven’t gotten into the spirit yet. Those Kack O’Lanterns are fabulous, though, I probably won’t carve one. I think mine would look like Michael Meyers took a knife to it if I did. LOL!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I didn’t do as much as normal. I’ve decorated more for fall than for Halloween. Barely nothing inside the house. I am going to go ahead and carve some pumpkins. I pulled out my patterns and will start on them soon.

  20. Melissa (My World...in words and pages) says:

I’ve been feeling like I’ve been repeating myself as well. lol. Great that you got to spend some quality time with your mom. Enjoy the days. 🙂

Hope you have a great week and enjoy all your new reads. 🙂

  21. Deborah says:

Good to have some family time. I’m seeing my bro, SIL and niece this weekend and it’ll be the last time for a few months.

I’m a bit like you on the book front. I either get a heap of new ones or none!
