Some chit chat.
Hello everyone and Happy Sunday!
I wanted to apologize for not visiting many posts last week. The flu kept my head all wiggy and I just couldn’t find the energy. All better now and thanks to everyone for the lovely well wishing!
I didn’t get many reviews posted this week and, luckily, I had some posts already scheduled or it would’ve been mighty quiet on fuonlyknew the past several days. So glad I’m back to myself so quickly and ready to jump back into things.
What I did find time for was a lot of free books to share today. Many of them are new authors for me and I’m excited to try a few myself.
Got lots of books to share, so let’s get to it!
I’ll be hopping over to check out your Sunday posts so be sure to leave me your link!

So, what did you get to read this week?
Got any recommendations?
I’d love to know and thanks so much for visiting fuonlyknew.
Is the Return of the Witch book two? I feel like I have read a similar one by this author. Dang the flu is the worst. I do hope you are feeling better. Rest! Have a wonderful week and enjoy all of your new books!
Yes, it’s book two, so I need to grab the first one now. I couldn’t believe I got sick in spring but it was over very fast. Thanks so much:)
Glad you’re feeling better! As usual you have all the good freebies listed- Alone caught my eye so I went over and read the thing. Sounds great! Picking that one up. 🙂 Looks like a fun series.
Thanks, Greg. I feel like myself again! I’ve been real good about sharing the freebies and not grabbing them. One look at my TBR! LOL I did grab two of these this week. Alone was one of them.
Glad you’re better. Being sick sucks! Ooohhh all those freebies … so tempting. Have a great week.
I feel all better now. Thanks Christy. Surprised how quickly I got over it! Watch out for those freebies. LOL
Glad you are feeling better. Nothing worse than the flu!
Thank you, Emma:) I got over it fast. One thing, I did get a lot of reading done:)
Sorry to hear you were unwell Laura and glad you’re feeling better. I actually dropped out for a couple of weeks, so know the feeling!
Lots of spooky looking reads there this week though!
All better now, Deborah. Thanks:) I found a couple of new sources for free books and a lot of these are new authors. I did manage to resist grabbing most of them. LOL
Glad you are feeling better. Oh Mechanica. I’ll be curious to see what you thought of that
Yep. All better, thanks! I adored Mechanica. It’s a YA read, but I was totally captivated.
I’m glad you’re feeling better, Laura!
You did indeed get a lot of interesting-looking books, freebies are so hard to resist – so I kind of tried to skip over them 😉 We shall see next week how well I did.
Have a fantastic week ahead and happy reading.
Thanks, Lexxie! It’s great to be myself again. I couldn’t believe how many awesome freebies I found this week. This is just a small portion of the bounty out there. LOL
Ugh I had the flu a month ago so I know how you feel!! I didn’t even feel like reading! Lots of good freebies! Hope you have a great week!
Samantha @The Book Disciple
I didn’t get as sick as I have before with the flu. It came and went fairly quickly too. Glad it happened over the weekend so I only missed one day of work on Monday. And I did read, which I don’t often do when sick. Weird! LOL
You’re right, flu in the spring is horrible! Where did you pick it up, even?? UGH!! I am so glad you’re feeling better!!! But just in case, I think you need a nap today anyways 😉 It can’t hurt, right? Enjoy all your pretty new books!!!!
Nobody around me was sick, so I figure I caught it from the grocery store. All that touching. LOL I will probably take a nap today. Going to go outside and read later. LOL
Sorry you have been so sick, glad your feeling better. I now have the sinus crud I had last year because of stupid allergies. 🙁 I haven’t felt well at all this week. You have some interesting books coming up this week and I picked up a couple of those freebies. 🙂

Week in Review
Thanks, Stormi, and sorry about your allergies. Everything is growing like crazy and my car is covered in green pollen every morning. Gotcha on the freebies this week! LOL
Very glad to hear that you are finally feeling better – it is so draining recovering from such an illness, so don’t try to do so much too soon, will you? I’ll be fascinated to know what you make of The Return of the Witch – I’ve read and enjoyed The Witch’s Daughter and Winter Witch. The cover for Mechanica is beautiful… but overall, you have a superb haul of books:) Have a good week and look after yourself…
Thanks so much. I’m surprised I feel so much better already. Got lucky this year:) I won The Return of the Witch. Now need to grab the other so I can read in order. Love the cover! Mechanica is magical. I loved it! Would be a wonderful movie.
I love the sound of the blurb for The Return of the Witch – a tale of love and magic.
The In-Betweener sounds cool too. The nanites story makes me think of the TV show Revolution.
I know! Some great books. I wish my job was reading! LOL
Coffee and Ghosts looks good! I loved the Mechanica cover, and was sorry I didn’t request it, but when none of my blogging buddies liked it, I felt better. I will be looking forward to seeing what you think. I am happy to hear you are finally over the flu. Have a wonderful week. 🙂
I like the title for Coffee and Ghosts. Sounds like fun. I won the hard cover edition of Mechanica and it’s so good! Will be reviewing it soon. Such a fun story.
I am not looking at any books!!!!! LOL
sherry @ fundinmental My Sunday Memes
You gotta look! There’s two I chose just for you! LOL
The flu is the WORST! Glad you are feeling better. Thanks for sharing all the freebies 🙂 And have a great week!
Thanks, Grace. All better now and ready to read! LOL
The flu is nasty stuff! I’m glad you’re feeling better but hopefully you’re still getting lots of rest. I’m looking forward to your reviews this week. I’ve got An Unhappy Medium coming up this week too (though I need to get reading on it! I’m only halfway through) and the Duffy Brown looks so fun. Have a great week!
I took a day off from work and it helped a lot. All better now, thanks:) My review of An Unhappy Medium is coming up on Wednesday. I’ll be sure to check yours out.
What an awesome haul! Glad you feel better!

Thanks for following! I had fun hunting down all of these freebies and have some great new reads too:) Can’t ever have enough books, right! LOL
I hope you’re feeling better now and that your flu is gone! I always enjoy seeing all the freebies you share, although I only pick up a few or none. I already have so many books and quite some freebies as well. I thought you only shared the freebies you got yourself, so that’s interesting to hear you don’t get all the freebies you share. I hope you’ll have a great week!
Thanks, Lola. All better now:) Gosh no. I shop for freebies in all kinds of genres and share them for everyone. My kindle would explode if I grabbed all of them. LOL
Oh no!! The flu sucks so much! I got it last year. :/ I hope you feel better! Great new books this week!I love that you share all your freebies every week. It’s starting to clog my Kindle though… Whoops! Have a great week!
Here’s my Weekly Recap!
I seem to get it every year now, even with the flu shot. This time was a lot milder and was gone quick, thanks! I don’t grab all of these freebies. Just love to browse and share them:)
Lots of great books. I had to pick up the Key West one. Looks interesting. Never been, but I have dreamed of going.
I figured Sherry would grab that one too. I grabbed it plus one more.
Ugh. The flu, that is no fun. Especially in spring. Hope you are on your feet. I still need to read Mechanica. I will have to stop by for your review.
I know. I let my guard down. LOL It’s gone now and I’m ready to roll! Mechanica is magical. I really enjoyed it. Would be such a fun movie.
ugh having the flu sucks! I am glad you’re feeling better 😀
All better now. Thanks!
