My 56 for this week is from:
The Darkest Thread
The Flint K-9 Search And Rescue Mysteries #1
by Jen Blood
Genre: Mystery
My 56 from the eBook.
It was so slight it was no wonder we’d missed it before: a barely discernible depression in the earth to my left, at the very edge of the clearing.
I swallowed my excitement and shifted so that I was lying on my belly in the dirt.

Read on if you want to know more.
Synopsis
When teenage sisters go missing in the mysterious “Bennington Triangle” of Vermont, an area renowned for its disappearances and strange occurrences over the past hundred years, FBI agent Jack Juarez brings K-9 handler Jamie Flint and her dog Phantom in to assist with the search. When Jack realizes the case shares haunting similarities with the murders of the missing girls’ aunts ten years before, it becomes clear that he and Jamie are dealing with much more than two girls who simply wandered off the beaten path.

I was lucky and got it when it was free. It has a supernatural element to it too that makes it more interesting and kind of creepy.

Sounds like a fascinating thriller. Any book with heroic dogs in it gets my attention!
My Friday post features The River of Corn.
These dogs are so brave and tough. I always get drawn to search and rescue stories.
Got me on the edge-of-my-seat! Happy weekend!
It enlightened me to how hard the work is for the dogs and their people.

Totally love the look of this. I love dogs, so this is very intriguing. Especially with the author’s name being BLOOD. Kind of sets the mood for the book, doesn’t it? Nice one!
The author’s name does make it even more intriguing. The lot was different too.
Looks like it could be good! Thanks for sharing. 🙂
