Posted: January 2, 2018 in Contests, Cozy Mystery, Mystery

It’s time to get started on my reading challenges for 2018. I’m doing some repeats and starting some new ones. Here a few and I’ll be adding more.

I’ve been meaning to try the Cloak And Dagger Challenge and this is the year!

I read a lot of books in this genre group so I’m going big and shooting for Special Agent!

5-15 books – Amateur sleuth

16-25 books – Detective

26-35 books – Inspector

36 – 55 – Special agent

56+ books – Sherlock Holmes

Going to go with Famished again this year.

I’ve done the Alphabet Soup Challenge for several years and going to do it again. 2017 was the first time I didn’t complete the challenge.

I lacked titles starting with Q, V and Y. Maybe I’ll have better luck this year.

The Alphabet Soup Challenge means that by December 31, 2018
your bowls must be filled by one book for each letter of the Alphabet.

Each Letter Counts As 1 Spoonful

This challenge will run from January 1st, 2018 until December 31st, 2018. You can join any time.

    • fuonlyknew says:

I have some personal ones too. My Challenge page on the blog is there for all to see so I have no excuses either. LOL

  2. Wattle says:

Some of these look like they’re right up my alley, I think I’ll definitely give the cozy mystery one a go :) good luck with reaching your goals!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I read so many genres and like that all of these cross over. Thanks and good luck with yours too!

  3. I posted my 2018 reading challenges this morning, but you’ve got some fun ones here that I might add. Alphabet Soup appeals to my quirky way of choosing books!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I plan to add some more. Just taking my time to see what works with the my list of reads.

  4. Good luck with your challenges!

  5. This will be the first year I do finish my Alphabet Soup! I have a plan already for each letter. Last year I was also missing Q, V and Y, as well as about five others. I had so many repeats of R and S. Good luck with your challenges!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I know there are some exceptions for certain letters but that still didn’t work for me. I have most of list already and will shop for the few I don’t so I make it this time. Good luck to you too!

  6. So glad you’re joining Cloak & Dagger this year. Make sure to check out our Facebook group if you haven’t already.

  7. Annemieke says:

I had not seen the alphabet soup challenge before I think. Interesting! I tried an abc challenge in 2017 though and sucked at the harder letters haha.

    • fuonlyknew says:

I was kind of sad that I failed it as I’ve finished it before. I’m determined this year. LOL

  8. Gotta choose some challenges too. They help me stay focused. Still have to do my 2017 wrapup.

    • fuonlyknew says:

I need to do my wrap up too. I did some of them but need to do the others. I like these challenges and plan to maybe add a couple more. They do help with focus!
