Some chit chat.
This week went by in a blur. I’ve now worked 11 days in a row with two more to go. Then it’s pool time for a day! I’m crossing my fingers the weather is right for it. If not, I’ll be binging the latest season of Heartland. I love that show! And I have a huge stack of new reads to get to.
Have a lovely Sunday everyone.

My new books this week.
I read some really fun reviews for The Guy On The Right so I had to grab me a copy!
And I got this awesome surprise in the mail from Michael Okon. It came with a wand and a broomstick pencil. I first read this book when he was writing as Michael Phillip Cash.
Here is the new cover I have written as Michael Okon.
And this is the one I have when he wrote it as Michael Phillip Cash.
Which do you like more?

Wow 11 days nonstop. Yikes- hope you get that pool day soon. 🙂
Doorways to the Deadeye- hmm. That looks kinda good!
Have a great weekend !
Monday will be all about me time! I have a bunch of Eric’s books to read. Was thrilled when he sent me Doorways!
11 DAYS STRAIGHT?! That sounds terrible! I wish you get a free day asap and enjoy that pool to the max!
Genesis @ Whispering Chapters
I have some nice frozen cocktails to enjoy while I float in the pool! LOL
Ugh, that’s a lot of days to work in a row! I’d be dead on my feet! You definitely deserve nice weather for your pool day.
Enjoy your books! I’ve seen the Kate Stewart one around a lot too.
I sure do need a break and the weather is going to be perfect for a relaxing day in the pool:)
I love that the author of Witches Protection Program sent you such a nice package 😁 Its a toss up for me, I like both covers!
It came as a surprise and I love having both books. I can’t choose a favorite either.
Hope you get some pool time!!
Me too! The weather is supposed to be perfect for a day in the pool:)
Wow, that sounds like an intense work schedule. I wouldn’t be able to do it! Hope you’ll have a great pool day! I haven’t heard about Heartland before, but I’m going to check it out.
By the last day I was so tired. Not something I want to do again. Heartland is one of my favorite shows and I’m excited for new episodes!
I don’t even understand how it’s possible to work that many days in a row… and here you are, doing it more than once! You have for sure earned your poolday!
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading 🙂
I don’t ever want to do it again! LOL I’ve missed so much of the summer and plan to make up for missed pool time:)
That’s a lot of days in a row. You deserve a pool day. I hope the universe cooperates with you. I have been seeing so many raves for The Guy on the Right. I will probably cave and buy it too even though I have 10 zillion books to read.
The universe better cooperate! LOL I had to grab that book. So many seemed to really enjoy it. I think I will too.
OMG Laura 11 to 13 work days in a row? I hope it’s not something really intense that you are doing or you must be exhausted! On another note I am happy that you got The Guy on the Right and a little bit scared too as I pushed that book! Hope you enjoy it alongside the pool.
Both jobs are very active and I’m super tired. Don’t plan on doing that again. I know you recommended The Guy On The Right. I don’t think you have to worry. It sounds like such fun:)
OK, I have no right to judge books with beefcake poses because I avoid them like the plague but, come on, why is this search and rescue guy in Hold Your Breath running around with no shirt while he’s apparently on a mission…in the mountains…in the snow and I think he’s in icy water? Seriously?
Have a nice day in the pool when you can—I was in ours this morning and had to drag myself out 😉
LOL It does seem questionable. I hope to spend so much time in the pool that I feel water logged.
11 days in a row… ugh. You must be ready to drop. I’m sure you’ll enjoy that pool day! I plan on picking up The Guy on the Right soon. I’ve seen some great reviews!
I’m getting too old to work like that anymore. Hoping it doesn’t happen again. Time in the pool is my idea of bliss:)
I hope your weather cooperates and you get that much needed pool day! Your new books do look very good! I haven’t read anything by Maggie Shayne, but I do want to.The Witches books sound like so much fun! And what a treat to get those extras from the author! I hope you have a great week, Laura.
There’s no rain in the forecast and I plan on swimming and doing some reading. I have no tan to speak of this summer. How did that happen? LOL
You definitely need a break. I hope you were able to get in some pool time. Enjoy your books! Have a great week!
Swimming and a nap are my plan! LOL
11 days! Well I’m glad you will get a break. We still don’t have our pool passes for the new place. I probably should get after them since it’s been more than a month. I worked on moving for an entire month so now I’m glad to be able to do things but with less deadlines. So I’m getting back to the books. I see you got a Katie Ruggle one. I like her and I’ve read that one. I think that is a shorter one. I like her K9 ones a bit more. Have a lovely week! I hope your pool day has the best weather.
Anne – Books of My Heart Here is my Sunday Post
You should check into getting those passes. You have some time now that you are settling in and summer is flying by!
I like the new Witches Protection Program cover. Beautiful.
Eleven days in a row! Wow. You definitely need time off.
I hope you enjoy all those wonderful books!
I love the colors for the new one. Both of them are fun though:)
11 days in a row?? Yikes! I hope you enjoy your upcoming pool time! You definitely deserve it!
Happy reading!
A day in the pool is my plan and I hope not to work that much again for a long time. LOL
That’s a lot of days! I hope you’re able to enjoy pool time!
A day off is in order! LOL
Some great books this week. Love the sounds of the gift passage. I have the older cover too. I found the second Monsterland I discovered the other day I’d like to read soon. Hope you get to enjoy your pool lots this week!
I enjoyed the Monsterland series and I hope he releases another one soon.
You are definitely overdue for a few days off to laze in the pool!
Have a great reading week
I missed so much pool time and I’m going to relish a day spent swimming:)
Don’t wear yourself out with those jobs! Hope you get some good downtime soon! Enjoy those cool reads!
I plan to ease back on working so much. Life is too short and I’m missing out on the summer!
I hope that you enjoy all of these new reads and a much deserved pool day! These look like fantastic books. I am intrigued by The Guy on the Right. 😉
The pool was wonderful! And I read some great reviews for The Guy On The Right so I had to grab a copy for myself:)
i picked up a couple freebies and already had a couple. hope you get your pool day in
sherry @ fundinmental
I got my pool day and it was bliss!
It sounds to me like you deserve a day by the pool-you must be so tired!
I did enjoy the pool, and a long nap! LOL
