This is my own version of a weekly book haul and all things new on fuonlyknew.

I’m also linking up with The Sunday Post hosted by Kimberly @Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Some chit chat.

Last week was the first time since I can’t remember when that I missed a Sunday Post. I’ve been so ill and didn’t feel like repeating the same thing over and over again. I’m finally on the mend and getting back to visiting posts and replying to comments.

I watched some new shows and movies. Horse Girl was a strange one. I never did really get it. And I enjoyed Locke & Key. Can’t wait to see what happens next season. And I’ve read a lot of books while I was sick. Now to write all of those reviews! LOL

Have a lovely Sunday everyone.

  1. Rachel @Waves of Fiction says:

Sorry to hear you weren’t feeling well, Laura! Bugs have been going around! Lock and Key is the name of a book I read by Sarah Dessen. I wonder if it’s been made into a movie? I’ll have to check. Have a great week! 🙂

  2. Lelia T says:

I’m awfully glad you’re feeling better—that’s quite a variety of books you’ve got there 😉

  3. I’m sorry you’ve had such a crap time of it recently. Feeling ill is certainly no fun and it causes chaos for reading and blogging which is frustrating! Hopefully this week will be a bit better for you. I might add Deadbreak to my wishlist…I think I already have Anchorage EMP but if not, I’m grabbing it! I have a few by the author!

  4. It’s no fun being sick, glad you’re on the mend. We saw Horse Girl last night. It’s strange, we did “get it,” but I thought it was slow in the middle.

    • fuonlyknew says:

I’m feeling almost myself again. Thanks, Priscilla. I watched Horse Girl again and got it. Guess I was overthinking it the first time around.

  5. Sorry you were so sick! That sucks. But, at least you are on the mend now. Hopefully you are back to 100% soon!

  6. Stormi D Johnson says:

Sorry to hear you have been so sick. I missed your Sunday Post and wondered what happened. Glad the meds are helping! You got a lot of really cool books!!!

Happy reading and have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I just couldn’t make myself do another Sunday Post about how crappy I was feeling. I was so ill I didn’t do anything and had nothing else to share. LOL

  7. I hope you’re feeling better soon! Being sick definitely takes away my motivation to blog.
I hope you enjoy your reads!

  8. I’m sorry you were so I’ll, glad you are feeling better!

Wishing you a great reading week

  9. Tammy says:

Hope you feel better, Laura! Everyone I know has been sick at one point or another recently, I’m so ready for flu/cold season to be over!

  10. Beware Of The Reader says:

Oh no Laura! I am so sorry to hear that you have been so sick!! I hope that next week will be much better for you!

  11. Oh I am glad if you are feeling better and hope that continues to feeling great! You certainly got a lot of books!

Happy reading! (and writing those reviews!)

Anne – Books of My Heart Here is my Sunday Post

  12. I hope you are feeling a lot better now.

  13. sjhigbee says:

I’m so sorry that you’ve been feeling so ghastly, Laura and I’m glad you’re on the road to recovery:). And yes… while it’s lovely being able to tuck into books while you’re poorly – the downside is then having to catch up on all those reviews! Have a MUCH better week.

  14. Greg says:

Hope you’re feeling better! I need to try some new shows too- I’m tired of the same ones haha! I keep hearing there’s new stuff on Netflix, I’ll have to take a peek. 🙂

    Caravan looks fun.

  15. I am glad you are feeling better. Illness is impacted so many, and the flu shot hasn’t been as effective as hoped. Take care of yourself.

    • fuonlyknew says:

I got the flu shot and that usually helps to lessen the symptoms. Guess it didn’t work. But, I’m so much better now. Thanks, Kimberly:)

  16. reddjena05 says:

What a fun mix of books! I’m sorry you’ve been feeling poorly but glad that it sounds like you are getting better.

    • fuonlyknew says:

I’m in the mood to read in so many different genres right now! And now that I’m feeling better, I can’t wait to dive in:)

  17. yvonne473 says:

I’m sorry you haven’t been feeling well. I hope you are getting better now. Have a great week!

  18. I’ve just started Locke & Key today. It’s so addictive! Sorry you’ve been so ill. Get well soon!

  19. Carole says:

I am so sorry to hear that you have been so sick, Laura! I am glad to hear that you are starting to feel better. It is good that you were able to get some reading done while you were feeling poorly. I hope this is a great week for you!

  20. Berls says:

I’m so sorry you’ve been sick, but I’m glad to hear you are feeling better! And sounds like you got a lot of reading time in, so at least that’s a plus! Hope you have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I did get a lot of reading done. I missed several days of work and reading helped me forget about how bad I felt:)

  21. Becki says:

Looks like a great variety of books! Glad you’re feeling better – enjoy your week!

  22. I’m glad you are feeling better and hey, at least you got to read a lot of books. The weather here is really gloomy and they are calling for wain the next 4 days. I think I need to build an ark. I was able to grab a couple of these while they were still free so thanks for sharing them!

    • fuonlyknew says:

It felt like such a long time before I started to improve but almost back to normal now. I’m busy writing those reviews!

  23. glad to hear you are feeling better. i haven’t done a sunday post in a long time and keep meaning to get back on the band wagon.

  24. alisbooks says:

I hope you enjoy them all!!

  25. Liliana says:

Oh no! I did notice your absence! I hope you get back to 100% soon! I work in a kindergarten class and omg those kids are a germ factory right now! I’m definitely to get sick. Lol.

    • fuonlyknew says:

I was feeling too poorly to visit posts or even to keep up with comments on my own posts. Now it’s all about catching up!

  26. Yay! for being on the mend. The one nice thing about being sick is getting a chance to read all of the books. 😉
