This is my own version of a weekly book haul and all things new on fuonlyknew.

I’m also linking up with The Sunday Post hosted by Kimberly @Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Some chit chat.

It’s official. Out state is now in lockdown. All nonessential businesses are closed as of 5:00 P.M. Saturday. I’m still working as we are essential and the people are flocking in to grab everything they can. It’s difficult to avoid the 6 foot space suggestion when thousands come through all day and I have to sometimes get close in order to help them. I’m just crossing my fingers and hoping for the best.

I’m still watching Grey’s Anatomy when I have time and it’s a great escape from all that’s happening. A friend gave me a huge box of DVDs and I’m planning to watch them too. And I’ve organized my books so I don’t have to think after I finish one. I just grab the next in the stack. It’s a mix of genres and should be fun.

Stay safe and take care everyone.

My new books this week.

Be safe! It is hard to avoid people or stay the recommended distance when you work in a public- facing place. And have fun with the DVD’s! It is a good time to do some watching for sure!

    Take care this week.

    • fuonlyknew says:

We tried to set some rules for distancing but it didn’t work as so many people are coming in. I’m just doing my best. Stay well:)

  2. I think the UK will tighten lockdown at sometime this week as too many are flouting the rules. If that happens I might not even get to local shops. It’s pretty impossible in your job to stay away from people. I can imagine the chaos and fear in the wave of humanity you are dealing with. Stay safe Laura, as best you can.

    • fuonlyknew says:

Thanks, and you too:) I knew something had been announced when all of a sudden people came pouring in. Checked the news on my phone and they had announced the lockdown.

  3. Sam@WLABB says:

That 6 feet, or even the more conservative 3 feet, separation is easier said than done. Glad you are finding a bit of an escape. Those old eps of Grey’s are so good. Take care and stay safe!

    • fuonlyknew says:

You take care too:) Yep, it’s hard to keep a distance when there are so many people. I just hope for the best.

  4. Berls says:

Stay safe! My husband also has an essential job, so I know about the challenge of keeping safe out there. Enjoy your DVDs and books – I know that’s how I’m keeping my mind off things.

    • fuonlyknew says:

We are starting to limit how many people can be in the building at one time. Really starting to be real now.

  5. Tammy says:

Please stay safe, Laura. I hope they’re letting you wear masks. The big thing I just heard is that wearing a mask will help you remember not to touch your face, which is the main way the virus is spread.

    • fuonlyknew says:

It is about not touching your face. And I’m also washing my hands often. So far, no one around has been ill so there;s that to keep me hopeful:)

  6. yeah, i think it would be very hard to keep a distance. i have been thinking of you and i am glad you are doing your best to stay safe.

  7. I have books and DVDs but I tend to do the online stuff these days.I can’t say why exactly other than it is so convenient. Do you have any kind of mask or gloves? I’ve only been out the one time since March 16th to a pharmacy drive through but tomorrow I have to go a different place and am thinking about whether I need that stuff.

Stay safe and well. Enjoy your DVDs and books, and any other relaxations you have!

I think the mask and gloves are wise. It reminds you not to touch your face and to wash your hands.

  8. yvonne473 says:

Take care of yourself and stay safe!

  9. alisbooks says:

Stay safe!! So thankful for the essential workers!

  10. Stay safe though I know that maintaining the distance is way easier said then done. DVDs at home sound like a good idea when you’re able to get off work. Have a great week and enjoy your reading!

  11. Sophie @BewareOfTheReader says:

I really hope you’ll stay safe Laura! In our malls and grocery shops we have big stickers on the ground to mark the distance people have to keep!

  12. S. J. Pajonas (spajonas) says:

Stay safe!! Glad to hear you’re doing okay. <3
