This is my own version of a weekly book haul and all things new on fuonlyknew.

I’m also linking up with The Sunday Post hosted by Kimberly @Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

~~~~~
With all the craziness going on right now I shouldn’t have been surprised that I neglected some things with my blog and reading. But I was! I have a freebies page where I share free books. When I checked it, I realized I hadn’t updated it in quite a while and a lot of the books were no longer free. I plan to fix that. And when I checked my review page, I was stunned at how few reviews I’d posted. When I thought about it, I realized my lack of reviews was due to working so much that I had less time for reading. I’m now busy making a bunch of review drafts so I can sit down and write those long overdue reviews. Needless to say, I’ll probably fail any challenges I joined this year. And because of this, I’m already starting on my Halloween posts. I do it every year, sharing a review of a scary book each day for the entire month. This I will not fail do to!!!
Stay safe and take care everyone.
    I love the sharing of a scary review every day for Halloween! I think I remember you doing it last year? And your books look good this week. some nice looking spooky ones haha!
    Hope you are well this week!
    • fuonlyknew says:
      I’ve done it for a few years. It’s a lot of work but I love scary stories so I have plenty of books. LOL
  2. Gayathri Lakshminarayanan says:
    It is okay that you have fallen behind and I am sure you will catch up soon. And oh I am excited for your Halloween plans.
  3. *Flora* says:
    I’ll have to stop by during October, not that I’m brave enough these days to read horror, but I still like to know about great books! πŸ˜‰
    Don’t sweat being behind, you’re definitely NOT alone there!
  4. limabean74 says:
    I have been MIA so long that now I am back I am thinking of starting on posts for September and on so I don’t get behind again. I totally failed my challenges also. Just not a good year overall.
    I hope this week is a good one for you Laura! Happy Reading! xx
  5. Stormi D Johnson says:
    Your like crazy busy so it’s understandable that you let some things slip. I think I might do like you and get started now as I would like to have some spooky reads ready for October and I always say I am going to but then I don’t. Maybe if I start really early I can get some ready…lol. πŸ™‚
    Stay safe and happy reading!
    • fuonlyknew says:
      I was shocked to see how little I’d done! I so want to fix that as blogging and sharing reads is what I love:)
  6. Tammy says:
    I really enjoy your Halloween posts, and that’s awesome that you’re already starting to work on them😁
  7. Sophie @BewareOfTheReader says:
    Well Laura with all the work that you do that’s totally understandable! Don’t be harsh on you. And yes I recall your Halloween posts with one review a day! That’s insane but so great! Have a wonderful (and hopefully less busy) week.
  8. Sam@WLABB says:
    I feel your pain. I cannot seem to catch up with reviews this day. I think you have the right idea. Let some things go, and focus on what you really want to make happen. Good luck!
  9. Don’t be hard on yourself. Things have been strange and that seems to take up a lot of my brain space. I did so much more with organizing and unpacking the last 6 months of 2019 and almost nothing in 2020 even though I am home all day. UGH. I am doing some outdoor stuff though.
    Stay safe and well!
    It happens to all of us – real life gets in the way of blogging/reviews/reading, etc. Just do the best you can. Don’t make yourself crazy.
    Hope you have a great week!
  11. I am loving all the creeptastic titles and covers this week. Makes me want to click πŸ™‚
  12. I think its easy to let things slide like blogging when the world has been a bit hectic!
  13. I have cut down on review books, but I still had three in May. In June, I only have one, which I am reading now.
    I used to review Amazon Vine books, but haven’t done those for a long time.
    Enjoy catching up…and it’s great to take a break now and then. Stay safe.
  14. It’s so easy to fall out of blogging when we work a lot. I can relate. I hope you enjoy your freebies!
  15. Liliana says:
    I’m also behind on my reviews and have been trying to write up drafts for like a month now. I’m still behind but I’m making progress πŸ˜… I’m also behind on my reading challenges… I think GR is telling me I’m like 3 books behind? Anyway, I totally do not appreciate the harsh reminder, Goodreads. Lol.
    Good luck with your drafts and happy reading!
  16. I am not reading enough at the moment, πŸ™
    Wishing you a great reading week
  17. I am feeling that pain, Laura! It is really hard to focus on blogging and sometimes even reading right now. I can’t wait for your spooky fall posts! Stay Well! <3
  18. S. J. Pajonas (spajonas) says:
    It’s so hard to find time to do stuff lately. I feel like every moment is jam packed full!
  19. I always enjoy your Halloween themed posts each year! Maybe I should read a pile of horror books in late summer and use them. Mind you at the moment, the reading is proving too slow and I’m not getting much done!
  20. I’m also very slow at my reading and blogging. But life is just weird now!
  21. i have a copy of ashes and blood too. looking forward to reading it
    I think that we all fall behind with blogging every once in a while. You have been so busy that I am surprised you are able to do as much as you do. I hope you have a great week!
