Some chit chat.
Been a busy, busy week. Had adjusters out to look at damage from Hurricane Sally. And then Hurricane Zeta slammed through here. It didn’t do any further damage but I sure am tired of all of these storms. Hoping that’s the last for a long, long time!
Got lots of reading done and just been enjoying some shows and movies. I feel a huge need to excape into some fiction:)
Stay safe and take care!

You guys have been hammered with storms! I hope you don’t have to deal with anymore for a long while. And I’ve been escaping too haha. A few shows and movies this week but not as many books, alas lol.
A House AT The Bottom looks good!
I’m ready for this season to be over! I just finished A House At The Bottom Of A Lake. It was creepy.
Happy Belated Halloween!
Back at ya!
I’m sorry you’ve been through those hurricanes, I’ve never been through one but I hope you won’t see one in a very long time ! So yes, escapism by books make a lot of sense. Take care 🙂
I’ve been through many but this year was wicked bad.
Glad Zeta didn’t do you any more harm. It’s been a tough season for you. I have always been thankful for fiction to give me a break from the world. Hope you read some amazing books.
It has been a tough season. Hopefully, we’re done for the year:)
You’ve had no luck with these storms. I hope you can get a break from the things and get a chance to de-stress a bit.
It’s almost over for the year, I hope!!!
Oh no! You have had a rough time of it, Laura:(. I hope you can find some comfort with some books – there are a good selection of cosies within those freebies – thank you for those!
You’d think I’d be reading fun books. I am, but I’m also reading a lot of thrillers and scary ones. LOL
I hope that is the end of the storms for you too! Storm seasons are just never fun when they get ramped up like they were this year!
Have a great week and happy reading!

Week in Review
Thanks:) We are having a cold front right now and it’s great for keeping the storms away.
I’m so sorry for the hurricanes. Hopefully you guys won’t have any others. I agree about escaping in fiction! I’m thankful we have them, because this year has been so weird. Hopefully it will all end soon and we can go back to our normal lives soon. Take care and have a great week!
It has been a hard year, hasn’t it:) I’m hoping things improve with the new one.
Oh no, stay safe Laura😬 I’m sorry the hurricanes have affected you so much. Hope you enjoy The Hollow Places, its crazy!
Thanks, Tammy. I finished The Hollow Places. Read that ending three times!
Storm have been insane by you! I do hope the season is now over. I am glad you are all safe1
I hope this week is awesome for you, Laura! Happy Reading!

I have fun finding them:)
I am so sorry. Some hurricane seasons just seemed to beat us up more. Hopefully things will quiet down now. Enjoy your new reads.
We were lucky to not get hit by any since 2005…..until now:)
This has been such a terrible year for hurricanes which seems fitting for 2020 being such a horrible year. Hopefully things are calm from now on!!
I sure am hopeful 2021 will be better:)
I wish you calm weather!
Have a great reading week
Thanks! Got my fingers crossed:)
we have made progress on storm cleanup and still have some to go. i too am over these storms!!!!!
sherry @ fundinmental
Our street is still lined with huge piles of debris.
Hopefully we are through the worst of the hurricane season. The weather is changing here. It’s still nice but much colder at night, and cooler in the daytime. I hope to spend the rest of 2020 either working hard on projects or escaping into reading! Enjoy your new books!
Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
We’ve had a nice cool down but heating back up now. Hopefully the cooler waters will keep any new storms away:)
Hope you see an end to all those storms!
I second that!
Oh wow, I’m sorry you got hit with Zeta too. Glad there wasn’t any additional damage though. Take care and stay safe!
No new damage. Still a lot of clean up to do though:)
So many hurricanes this season! I saw that Hurricane Eta just formed too. It’s nuts. Glad you didn’t have any further damage!
At least it looks like Eta won’t be bothering us! Thanks:)
