Some chit chat.
I’m sure you’ve noticed my absence on visiting your blogs or even commenting back on my own posts. I caught the dreaded Covid back at the end of July and it took me down hard. I was off of work for almost 6 weeks. Finally went back and they sent me home for another week as I was too weak to do much. Finally have most of my strength back and feeling more like myself, Still can’t smell and taste. Wonder how long it will be til I get those senses back? LOL I didn’t get much reading done while I was really sick but getting back to it now. I have some fun reviews and great books to share with you. Coming soon…………………
Stay safe and have a great new week!

Welcome back! I hope your smell and taste return soon! I’m looking forward to your upcoming reviews.:-)
I was shopping for some candles and new perfume and had to have a friend smell them for me. LOL And I miss tasting things. They say it could be several more months. Ugh.
Oh no, sorry to hear you caught Covid but I am glad to hear you are back on the mend. I have missed your Sunday Post. I have also thought about you with the Hurricanes that have been down your way. Hope you get your taste and smell back soon!
Have a great week and happy reading!

Week in Review
Yep, that virus is nasty business. The hurricanes weren’t direct hits here but all it’s done for months is rain and rain some more. LOL
So sorry you had Covid🙁 But I’m glad you’re feeling better. I read Eight Cylinders and it was a lot of fun.
Thank you, Tammy. Finally feeling better and ready to read!
Welcome back, and thanks for posting since I grabbed all of the Lizzie Lewis books!
Thanks, Freda. It’s good to be back!
I am so sorry you got so ill. I’m glad you’re back! I see you got some K-9 books. I love K9 books.
Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
It was tough and took so long to recover. Never been that ill. I have a pile of K-9 books. They are such fun. Reading The Kill Switch by James Rollins tight now. Kane, the four legged partner is amazing.
Oh, Laura, so sorry you were so sick with Covid for so long…but, thank God, you are all right now! Yeah! I did wonder where you had gone. I have news also…my beloved husband of 43 and a half years, Russell, passed away on August 27, 2021. I write about it and him on my blog: https://kathrynmeyergriffith.wordpress.com/
Yes, Laura, this has been a truly bad year or two…with the Covid and now my husband’s death, a truly horrific year. I soon hope, though, in time to return to writng my 34th novel, an 8th Spookie Town. SO HAPPY YOU ARE OKAY, friend!!!!!
I’m so sorry for your loss, Kathryn. I hope the 43 years of lovely memories help you as you continue and I’m excited to hear you will be writing more. I just finished Dinosaur Lake VI and it was a blast. Thanks so much.
Thank you. I was afraid that with Dino VI I had ‘jumped the shark’ so to speak, by bringing in aliens…but, lo and behold, my readers, according to the reviews so far, are loving it. Whew. Here’s to the future….
Sorry you were so sick! 6 weeks is a long time. I know several people that caught it and have never gotten their sense of taste back entirely. Hope you are back to normal soon!
Welcome back! I’m sorry tohear Covid hit you so hard. I know a lot of people have long lasting effects. My kids both had issues with their taste/ smell for quite a while…
Dinosaur Lake VI looks fun!!
Welcome back! I’m so sorry about the Covid. Take care of yourself!
Hope you get better. Sorry to hear you had a run in with Covid – be so glad when we are done with this stuff.
Oh no! That’s awful! I’m glad to hear that you’re doing much better now, though! I hope you enjoy all your reads and I’m looking forward to your posts! 😊
P.S. I really enjoyed those two Ellie Jordan books! It’s one of my favorite series! Happy reading!
I’m so sorry to hear you got covid. Was it a breakthrough infection? I’m not sure if you mentioned that you were vaccinated. Fingers crossed you don’t have any long-haul issues.
some great looking books. i have not been visiting blogs as much as i would like, but i don’t have being sick for a reason. just not highly motivated right now. i need to get out and about…but i am still leery and it is still hot enough out that there isn’t much of anywhere to go…yet…
