I couldn’t find a good quote on page 56 so I went to page 156 and found this.
I stared at myself in the mirror.
My nose was back to normal; the only remnant of my two black eyes was a slight yellow shading across one brow bone. I could use Ian’s balm, but I didn’t want to. For all I knew, the stuff was an aphrodisiac or some kind of lust potion, which would explain my hopping into bed with him so easily.
“It couldn’t just be that you were horny and he’s hot”? I asked the woman in the mirror.
She gave me the finger.

Thanks so much for visiting fuonlyknew!
This sounds good. I think I have a couple of books in this series on my TBR mountain. I should look and add them to my reading stack. Happy reading1
I like that this is part of the Nightcreature series but they can be read as stand alones. I’m really enjoying this one.
I’m not sure how I feel about this book. The guy is looking at me and I’m not feeling so good about it? LOL
sherry @ fundinmental
The better to… LOL You’d like the snark in this one Sherry.
Hahaha Good pick 😀 But the cover is terrible 😛
Here is my Friday 56 and Book Beginning
There are 2 other covers for this. After reading most of the story, I think this one works best. None are glamorous though.
Great teaser, I love that she flipped herself off.
I know. She couldn’t help but be honest when ‘faced’ with the truth. LOL
Well, thank you for skipping ahead 100 pages because this quote is a doozy. My Friday Thoughts
I’m glad I did. It doesn’t spoil anything, I promise!
LOL Sounds good. Happy weekend!
Enjoy your weekend too, Freda. I’m going to spend mine by the pool finishing this fun book.
I like the excerpt on this one! Sounds like quite the sense of humor with a good dose of attitude! Hope you enjoy this one!
The minute I skipped to page 165 I knew I’d found the a good one. Describes her so well.
This sounds really good. Hope you have a great weekend!
It is. I’m hoping to finish it this week.
Haven’t seen this before, but like the 56!
Thanks Vicki. I found this at my favorite used book store.
Sounds like my kind of book.
I love it when I find a new author and get a good story!
What happened to this woman? This is horrible. She must get revenge! Side note: I only recommend revenge in literature…most of the time.
LOL. I like that side note!
Captivating excerpt…now I want to know what happened! Thanks for sharing…and for visiting my blog.
I’m at the point in the book where things are reallly starting to happen.
Like the Friday 56.
Thanks for stopping by!
Nice excerpt. It makes me want to know more about this spunky character. Thanks for visiting myh blog.
Hi Catherine. There’s nothing like a fun, tough female protagonist.
That cover creeps me out 😉 I don’t know how I’d feel about having it by my bedside … may give me nightmares hahaha!
Nope. No nightmares but a whole lot of everything else!
