Some chit chat.

Guess what I spotted yesterday. The first green buds on my Pecan trees.

You know what that means? Spring is here on the Gulf Coast!

It’s time to break out the real summer clothes. I have tons of shorts and tees and I love to finally get to wear them again.

Let’s not forget those shoes. I have a ton of flip flops. It’s important to have the right color for every outfit. I have blue, orange, pink, green, yellow, purple, etc… and in several shades,  including pastels and neon bright ones. It’s so fun being a girl!

And best of all is going nude. Not my bod, just my feet! I love being barefoot and usually do so year round in the house. I also have to have toenail polish to match my outfits and there are so many shades of every color. I even have a basic black. LOL

And I can accessorize my bare feet. There are some cool toe rings and ankle bracelets and barefoot bling. Sometimes I’m torn between what to wear. I’ll put something on. Nope. Take it off and try something else. And so on….. It’s tough being a girl. LOL

I often think that guys have it made. They just throw on some board shorts and voila! Instant yum.

Back to the buds on my Pecan trees. What is your first sign that spring is here?

Here we are again. Another Sunday. Hmm….what should I talk about? LOL

Have you ever found that you use things you’ve heard from a show in your everyday life? I find that I use lots of quotes and slang from Big Bang Theory. I watch this show almost every day and never get tired of the reruns. They still crack me up.

I even have some board shorts that say Bazinga! LOL What show bleeds over into your life? I know it can’t happen to just little old me.

I don’t what happened. It was sunny and warm. Now it’s freezing. I can’t wait for spring so I can quit talking about the weather. I feel like going into hibernation. Especially after Phil the groundhog saw his shadow and it’s six more weeks of winter. LOL

The Lost World retelling sounds fun. And I’m thrilled to get the next Onyx Webb book. Only two more to go. I’ll be sad to see the awesome series end.

So……It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood. Well, it’s windy and rainy, but it’s still warm! Sometimes I like it when it rains. I stay home and watch movies. Watched The Shallows last night. Have you seen it yet? I thought it was pretty good. Definitely had some tense moments. Anything with a shark trying to eat someone is a winner in my book. Also watched Blair Witch. Felt almost like a repeat and was even less scary.  Now I’m biding my time for the return of The Walking Dead. Rick’s got his mojo back and I can’t wait to see what they do. I hope Carol finds her mojo again. I’m not liking her role as a loner. Miss that girl!

I’ve also read a bunch of books. Can’t wait to share my reviews. For now, I have some good ones to show you today and the usual batch of freebies for ya!

It seems like the weather is a HOT topic these days. LOL Here in the south we have a saying, “If you don’t like the weather, stick around, it’ll change.” That sure rings true. Christmas was freezing cold. Now it’s in the 70s, the sun is shining, and I’m longing for summer. This won’t last. Winter here is tricky. I know February will be cold, and we always get a few surprise blasts in March. But my plants don’t seem to know that. Some are starting to come up, some are trying to bloom, and some are growing leaves already. I hope the blasts of cold to come don’t kill them as I have big plans for planting this spring.

A quick question. Do any of you have suggestions? I want to plant a few miniature fruit trees. Just not sure what to get. I have an orange tree and it’s loaded up right now. I need something to fill a few empty spaces.
