Genre: Action / Adventure / Horror

Teaser from the first chapter in the eBook

Putin seemed kind of paranoid about a lot of things.

“Well, we got wind late last year that he asked his scientists to come up with some weaponized sharks. And what Putin wants, Putin gets.”

Trying to wrap his head around the concept of weaponized sharks, Callum frowned. Were not sharks weaponized enough? His lack of an arm and speaking Russian after a coma kind of confirmed that. The 100+ fatalities at Salechii only reinforced the concept.

Teaser #2 from the prologue in the eBook

A large black eye studied her from the porthole as she studied it. Then with a powerful push of its tail the shark moved away so quickly that she wondered if it had ever really been there.

I was getting my review together for Salechii and noticed in my highlights that this book series would be updated as each new story became published, at no extra charge! How cool is that! So, I crossed my fingers and checked, and yep, there was the newest addition, Shark Station Nyet, So needless to say, I was up late last night reading.

My Review

Deep Blue Sea and Jurassic Park came to mind when I read the description for this book. I thought, this could be fun, and it was.

The very idea is probably impossible, but maybe not. They’ve built islands to make huge, fancy hotel resorts. Why not a shark park? So just let yourself go with it.

So they build the theme park, stock it with every kind of shark, and some other creatures. Then a category 5 hurricane blows it all to kingdom come.

As the island sinks, the sharks come out to play and things get very bloody very fast. Lots of people die and those lucky enough to still be alive have to brave the shark infested waters to escape the same fate.

One young boy is leading a group of survivors to safety, but where is safe on a sinking island?

There is tons of action and some cool robots. Not sure why the robots are in this story but they are put to good use. The story is fast and furious and there are plenty of colorful characters, including some of the critters in the park.

I live on the Gulf Coast and have been deep sea fishing. I’ve seen some of the monsters that rule the depths and even though the odds of being eaten by a shark are in my favor, I no longer swim in the ocean. I just don’t tempt fate. And after reading this book, I don’t think I’d visit the park either.

This series is addictive and bloody fun. Whether you love them or fear them, the sharks rule.

I bought this by itself, but I’d recommend you buy the collection to get the short prequels and sequels that come between each new novel in the series. You also get each new book free as the author updates the collection!

  1. I haven’t heard of this series, but it looks like it might be a good one!

Mine today can’t even hold a candle to it in terms of excitement. It’s from a novella by Tolstoy. http://wp.me/pZnGI-ci

  2. I’m not sure this one is for me but I can tell from this post that you are loving it! Thanks for visiting my TT http://cleopatralovesbooks.wordpress.com/2014/09/02/teaser-tuesday-september-2/

  3. Sounds like a good idea for a story, but “very bloody” doesn’t appeal to me.
My Tuesday post features The Gods of Second Chances.

  4. This sounds absolutely hilarious and the first line from the teaser is also incredibly current regarding the news from Ukraine! But imagine, hear me out, a Sharknado of weaponised sharks?! Ok, I think I need to lie down! Thanks for sharing 🙂 hope you have a great week!

  5. Sharks seem to be very popular at the moment. Sounds like a fun read. Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Especially since Shark Week just ended and everyone went crazy over the Sharknado movies. I didn’t care as much for the first movie but had a hilarious time with the second one. Sure saw a lot to remind of other movies and tv shows which made it silly fun.

  6. Great Teasers! You’ve got me wanting to know more about this book!

Thanks for stopping by my TT @ Addicted Readers! 🙂

  7. I don’t know if this is exactly my type of book, but the teaser was kind of interesting. Thanks for sharing and for stopping by My Teaser earlier!

  8. Wow! That second teaser sounds extremely taut! Do you think it’s kid friendly? My boy sure loves sharks; he is twelve 🙂

  9. Ummm, I’m not sure if my first comment went through, but in case it didn’t, I was asking if you feel the series is kid friendly? My boy who is twelve is a shark lover 🙂

  10. jonesjar says:

Not my style. I love the ocean too much.

    • fuonlyknew says:

I love it too but I guess I’ve watched too many scary movies. Some of the sharks I’ve seen out there are huge and there are the occasional attacks on the cost. That and jellyfish have turned me off from swimming in there anymore.

  11. That is an interesting cover, but I’m not sure the book is for me. Hope you enjoy, though!

  12. These sound good for those who enjoy this genre…thanks for sharing, and for visiting my blog.

  13. Yvonne says:

    This sounds really good.

  14. pdworkman says:

    Sounds fantastic!

Thanks for stopping by mine today:

Mine this week is a YA disability story:

  15. Alice Audrey says:

I’m already spooked by something as silly as the movie Jaws. I’ll pass on the book series. But it’s a great teaser.

  16. Naomi @ Nomi’s Paranormal Palace says:

Fantastic teasers! Sounds like a great read. Glad you enjoyed it.

    Thanx for visiting my TT

  17. Haha, I love the first teaser! While I’m kind of scared of the ocean as it is, I would still like to be able to swim in it, haha. Glad you enjoyed this series so much! Sounds like a perfect read during Shark Week 😉 Thanks for sharing!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I wait anxiously each year for Shark Week. Kind of funny as I’m afraid of the ocean now. But that’s also because it seems like every time I swim there I get stung by nasty jellies!

  18. Love the concept and subject matter. I will be looking into getting this series.

  19. i’ve never read anything like this before. I love watching shark movies though…haha. Teaser #2 is very alluring. Thanks for visiting my Teaser Tuesday. 🙂

  20. thebookpub says:

This seems very intriguing! I’ll have to look into it. Weaponized sharks!

  21. Jane Reads says:

This sounds good! I enjoyed Jaws and Jurassic Park – books and original movies – and I think I will enjoy this also. Here’s my Teaser.

  22. Deasy says:

this one looks scary for me 🙁
great post anyway. thanks for stopping by, Laura!

  23. Eustacia says:

Reminds me of Jaws – which may be too scary for me!

Thanks for having visited my blog!
    ^_^

  24. ljennison says:

Got it! Looking forward to reading it. Love shark week and Deep Blue Sea. And have been interested in sharks forever. I look at the Atlanta Aquarium with the whale sharks and I think it’s cool but I also wonder if it’s a little bit of hubris and a disaster waiting to happen and I hope not. Thanks for sharing these books. And thanks for coming by Through Raspberry Colored Glasses.

  25. I have the bundle, but definitely need to set aside some time to begin reading. I love the sounds of these and the cover alone captured me. Thanks for the reminder.

Great. You’ll automatically get the new updates and be notified. I love that. You’ll get a kick out of these. I’m going to check out her dinosaur series too!
I’ve read many of her books. Kind of like Kathryn Meyers Griffith. Just so many to read!

  26. I’ve never heard of this one. Sounds interesting. 🙂
Thanks for stopping by my blog yesterday.

  27. I’ve never heard of this! I must admit I probably couldn’t do it… I get freaked out enough just by the idea of sharks! Sounds fun, though. 🙂 Great teaser!
