Am I glad this week is over. I swear, it was so cold I froze my butt off, literally! freezing photo: wind-und-schnee.gif I work outside and with the bitter cold and gusting wind, I felt like a human popsicle. I really shouldn’t be complaining as so many folks had it so much worse. My mother said last night it hit 20 below.  I’m so glad I moved south!

Mardi Gras is over and now it’s on to the next big rush. Spring Break! Hard to believe it’s next month. Sure hope the weather cooperates and the beaches are sunny and warm.

I know I’m probably getting ahead of myself, but I’ve been getting my pool ready for swimming. I haven’t braved getting in, YET, but it sure looks sparkling clean and inviting. The gale force winds today are creating whitecaps. LOL

Here’s a cute video to warm you up:)

Comments
  1. I grabbed up some of those freebies! You always seem to have something I find interesting! Some one must really like Mia Darien and I admit they sound interesting. 🙂 I am curious to know what you think of Horror Business. 🙂

    • fuonlyknew says:

Glad to be of service! LOL You’re right. I’d loved the series. My review of Horror Business will be up on Thursday.

  2. I loved City of Blood! It was such an interesting read and I really need to go back to the previous 2 in the series. Can’t wait to see what you think of Ladle to the Grave! I can’t wait until it’s warm. This dreary cold stuff has got to go! Have a great week and stay warm!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I’m getting ready to start City of Blood and my review for Ladle to the Grave is up now. We went from 70s on Sunday to bitter cold and rain now. Yuck!

  3. Greg says:

I think I’m ready to move south myself, I always say it would be too hot in the summer, but right about now it sounds pretty good. Some of those freebies looks pretty good… and cute video!

  4. katarguelles says:

That’s a cute video! It is hard to believe that spring break will be soon and hopefully the weather is better for you to enjoy being outside. A pool sounds fun and it’s a great way to cool off and enjoy a good book. You have another great haul and thanks for sharing the freebies! Have a great week!

  5. yvonne473 says:

I want to move south! I’m sick of winter, although there are people who are having it even worse than we are here.

All of your books look so good, especially Reservoir Cats. Enjoy!

    Have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

That spring weather blew away and it’s back to yucky weather. One thing good about the south. the weather changes quickly. This won’t last.

  6. I love that you get to work outside. I know it is probably awful in the cold weather but I would enjoy it so much. I just love to be outside and I think it would be peaceful. I have to admit.. I love snow. But I love snow when I can stay inside and cuddle in a blanket and look out the window at it. Happy Sunday.

  7. You are so bad for my TBR pile! : D Sorry you had to work outside in the cold, brrr., I can’t believe you’re prepping your pool! I still have 4 feet of snow on the ground. 🙁

    Ah well, happy reading!

  8. Lola says:

I can’t imagine how cold it must be to work outside in cold weather. I don’t like feeling cold, but luckily I work from home and it’s not that cold here.

    Enjoy your new books!

  9. Sheltered sounds good– hope you enjoy and have a great weekend.

  10. bruacioly says:

It’s nice that you always share these freebie books! Love the links this week as well!
    Happy reading!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I spend hours and have fun shopping for different freebies to share. I even grab a few for myself now and then. Same with the links. I look for fun, interesting discussions and tips.

  11. You snagged some cool looking zombie reads, I am in the mood for a good one. We had a high today of 17 with real feel of -10 and I am over it. Brrrr. Have an awesome week 🙂

  12. Christy says:

How much will you hate me if I tell you we were swimming last weekend? lol. Hope it warms up soon for you. Enjoy your books and have a great week.

  13. Iza Bzh says:

Zombies, ghouls and horror ? We’ll be watching Zombieland this afternoon, I hope it’s good. Enjoy your book haul, I cross my fingers so you’re going to be using your swimming pool soon 😉

  14. That video was so darn cute! I had to watch it twice and I picked up one of the freebies. Can you guess which one it is?

    sherry @ fundinmental

  15. atothewr says:

Stay warm – cold in Carolina as well – not like up North though. Brutal.

  16. You look to have gor some really interesting books this week…its going to play havoc with my kindle I can tell!

  17. Taylor Dean says:

Hey Laura! Thanks so much for adding I’m With You to your freebie list! Much appreciated! We’re covered in snow right now and it’s still coming down! I’m sooooo ready for spring!

    • fuonlyknew says:

You’re welcome Taylor. I didn’t have room to do a post so I put it first in line and also added to my free eBooks page! It’s turned bitter here again, and rainy!

  18. I agree it was cold last week. I don’t envy you working outside. It seems like everywhere was cold and windy last week. I hope this week will be warmer for you. Have a great reading week!

  19. Brrr, I don’t like the cold. It’s nice to be able to have weather warm enough to get in the pool and a sparkling clean one makes it very tempting.
Hope the weather warms up very soon for you.
    Have a great week.

    • fuonlyknew says:

Oh. I’m not getting in the pool. I’d probably have a stroke, it’s so cold still. LOL But I have sat on the ladder and got my toes wet.

  20. Naomi Hop says:

Oh goodness… I really cannot imagine being that cold! I have to travel a fair way to get any snow!! lol Enjoy all your reads!

    Naomi @ Nomi’s Paranormal Palace

  21. I’m completely ready for warmer weather too! It’s not been as cold here as it has where you live, but I’m still longing for sunshine, shorts and t-shirts and being outside more.
All your new books this week are new to me, but they look very good. I hope you’ll enjoy them all.
have a wonderful rest of the week 🙂
