Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page.
•Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My Teaser from page 80 in the paperback.

1. “Quarantine” makes it sound as if you might come out alive (you won’t); and

2. I’ve never seen or heard of anyone who lasted longer than three hours. Max.

Read on if you want to know more.

Synopsis

.27 IS A NUMBER RUBY HATES.

It’s a number that marks the percentage of the population that survived. It’s a number that means she’s one of the “lucky” few still standing . And it’s a number that says her father is probably dead.

Against all odds, Ruby has survived the catastrophic onset of the killer rain. Two weeks after the radio started broadcasting the warning “It’s in the rain. It’s fatal, it’s contagious, and there’s no cure,” the drinkable water is running out. Ruby’s left with two options: persevere on her own, or embark on a treacherous journey across the country to find her father–If he’s even still alive.

Sounds interesting. Would definitely read more. Thanks for sharing!

    • fuonlyknew says:

It’s funny. I just watched a movie with a weird apocalyptic theme and I’m reading The Dead Circle right now. It has to do with contamination through rain and zombies, but they don’t crave human flesh or brains. What a coincidence. LOL

  2. Greg says:

That would suck, if it was in the rain. LOL. Hard to get away from… nice quotes, especially the first one. Happy Tuesday!

    • fuonlyknew says:

Think about it. Moisture is everywhere. You could get contaminated from water when you reach for the door handle on your car. Shudder to think about it.

  3. Sounds interesting, hope you enjoyed it. 🙁

  4. I’ll have to look for this one! Sounds good!

  5. Catherine says:

I love the rain idea, so clever. I better look out for this one!

  6. mysm2000 says:

Wow! That pulls you right into it, doesn’t it? Here’s my TT: http://wp.me/p4DMf0-11y

  7. When there is a water shortage, rain sounds like a good thing. I guess it’s not in this scenario. Thanks for sharing…and here’s mine:
    “TRUTH BE TOLD”

  8. Can you imagine? How would you avoid the contaminated water? This sounds like it could be an intriguing read. I want to read it just to see if she finds her father and they are able to make a life for themselves.

  9. Verrrrrry interesting.

Killer rain ~ that’s an interesting premise.

  15. Eustacia Tan says:

Ooooh, that’s interesting. And to think the rain would be what kills us all… that’s scary. I wonder why.

  16. Candid Cover says:

Oooh! This book sounds really cool! I am frightened and intrigued at the same time!
