So, another week of nothing much new around here. I did get a new computer for my son. And I got a hair cut.

The weather has been beautiful and hovering around the mid to high 80s. The pool is lovely. I managed to get in a couple of swims on Saturday and plan to do more swimming today. Got to enjoy it while the weather lasts.

Oh yeah. I’m planning to watch The Conjuring 2 tonight. Have you seen it yet? Is it as good as it’s been hyped up to be?

Other than that, it’s just been me doing a lot of reading. Got lots of books to share, and some fun freebies.

I’ll be hopping over to check out your Sunday Posts so be sure to leave me your link.

Ah the pool sounds pretty good. We’ve had a few 70’s days but it’s definitely getting cooler here… Michigan you know. 🙂 And that movie looks freaky. I like a bit of spookiness but I’m not into horror movies usually, although this is the time of year for them!

As usual you have some fun looking reads. Switching Hour looks fun! And Poop!?!. That I’ll have to go see. 🙂

    • fuonlyknew says:

Yep. Still in the mid to high 80s but that will be changing by the end of next week. I usually swim until after Christmas, just not as often. LOL
I do love the cozies. And Poop was just so darned cute and fun:)

  2. Oh to have a swimming pool and still be using it in October would be fantastic. 🙂 Can I come live with you…lol

    Have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

Not sure if I have room for your fur babies and mine but we can work that out. We can live in a tent and give them the house. LOL Come one in!!! LOL

  3. A nice mixture of genres there! I’m planning to get in some reading and hopefully a film tonight. I have got lots to catch up with. I hope you enjoy your swims…I’m jealous as I’d love to be swimming again but this fat body ain’t strutting around in a swimming costume for any money!

    • fuonlyknew says:

My pool is not readily viewed from the road, so no worries about revealing ourselves. LOL Maybe that’s why I have a pool? LOL

  4. I haven’t seen The Conjuring 2 yet, but the first one freaked me out. lol! I had nightmares for over a week haha! I’m such a sissy! Hope you like it! Have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I watched it with my son, in the dark! Started out slow, but it sure got creepy! I really liked it. Must be morbid. LOL

  5. limabean74 says:

I just got Elle, That book sounds awesome and the next three sounds even better. I can’t wait to read it 🙂 Quiet weeks are always awesome and nice you got to swim a bit more.

Have a great week, Laura! Happy Reading!

    • fuonlyknew says:

Ella was a good one. I do plan to continue the series. I did enjoy the pool and plan to get in as much swimming as I can before it gets too cold:)

  6. I haven’t seen that movie, but it really isn’t the type that I watch. Give me zombies and I’ll be happy LOL Hope you have a great week. http://lampshadereader.com/2016/10/16/sunday-post-5-week-go/

  7. There’s a Conjuring 2? I still haven’t recovered from the 1st one! It does look interesting though. You got some great looking books. I love the look of Ella the Slayer! Have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

Oh yeah. I just watched it and prepare yourself! LOL
Ella was a good one and I want to read more of the series soon:)

  8. I need to convince the man that we need a pool. The spring/summer I lost 50+ pounds I swam every day. I loved it! We are having 90s weather, and I can’t wait for it to drop to low 80s.

    • fuonlyknew says:

Swimming is great exercise and easy on the joints. I love it. And with the heat here, I probably wouldn’t venture outside without the pool. LOL

  9. Deborah says:

So many new books and a few scary ones there. Is that in prep for Halloween?

And great you’ve had a good reading week Laura! I suspect my next one will be a bit slow.

    • fuonlyknew says:

Yep. Got lots of spooky and fun Halloween reads coming up. Already working on Thanksgiving and Christmas reads too. The holidays creep up on you:)

  10. jsamuelsen says:

It’s nice that the weather is so nice you can swim. It’s rainy and cold here.

  11. Your books are all new to me. Thanks for sharing, and enjoy. And thanks for visiting my blog.

    • fuonlyknew says:

My reading is all over the place. Different genres and age groups. It’s been a lot of fun and I’ve found some wonderful new authors:)

  12. yvonne473 says:

Cats, Cakes and Clues looks so good. I have to check to see if I have that one. Hope you have a great week!

  13. Oh I have no tolerance for scary movies (scary anything really!). I can’t do haunted houses, watch scary TV, or read scary books. Nope, nope, nope!!! I hate Halloween. Any holiday that encourages scary things? No thank you!
Hope you have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I’m just the opposite! LOL I’ve always been fascinated by things scary. My family thinks I’m weird. LOL

  14. It’s so cool that you got so many free books! Hope that you enjoy them! 🙂

  15. I love the cover of Run. I dropped by your Poop review. It sounds like a fabulous story. Our temperatures are going to be freakishly warm here in Upstate NY next week. Some people will probably be swimming here, too! I usually fight to keep the heat turned off until October 1st, but that hasn’t been the case last year and this year. Although we have been staying frozen until May. Ha ha. Have a stellar week. 🙂

    • fuonlyknew says:

I’m reading Run right now. I do enjoy collections. You get to sample new authors. Poop was a fun read and I always enjoy his books. We’re supposed to cool down some by the end of the week. I usually don’t use the heat until after the new year!

  16. atothewr says:

I enjoyed the first Conjuring movie. I hope (when I see it) that the new one will be just as good. Hope you have a great week.

    • fuonlyknew says:

The beginning had me worried but it sure got me when it got going. I liked how they had you expecting one thing and you got something else. When you watch it, you’ll see what I mean.

  17. I haven’t been swimming in ages. You should definitely enjoy it while you can. I am really interested to see what you think of the Hunter Shea novel. I read The Jersey Devil last month and am interesting in checking out more of his works.

    • fuonlyknew says:

The jersey Devil was a good one too. As was The Montauk Monster. I’m starting The Dover Demon now. I usually grab his books in print as soon as they come out!

  18. S. J. Pajonas (spajonas) says:

I want it to be 80 degrees around here! I miss summer already.

    • fuonlyknew says:

I dread winter. We usually go from summer to a short fall. With winter really arriving around the end of the year. I don’t do cold very well. LOL

  19. Heidi says:

Could you send some sun to Oregon? We got hammered with rain and wind this last few days. Ugh. I must admit I am curious about that book with the poop emoji.

  20. Oh I LOVED The Conjuring 2!! I hope you did also! It looks like you got some great spooky reads! Enjoy all of them! 😀

  21. sjhigbee says:

It sounds like last week was a great blogging and reviewing week for you:). I hope you manage to get more swimming in and have another good week.

  22. As always, you have some fantastic books. I can hardly wait to check out RUN.

    • fuonlyknew says:

I opened it yesterday. Had to set it down to finish a couple others, but looking forward to starting it soon:)

  23. They Choose for You sounds so freaking creepy! I’m checking it out on Amazon right now. I will not watch the conjuring. I can’t watch paranormal movies like that, knowing that things like that actually happen in real life. Even when movie trailers appear of movies like this one, I cover my ears and look away until the trailer is over lol
