This is my own version of a weekly book haul and all things new on fuonlyknew.

I’m also linking up with The Sunday Post hosted by Kimberly @Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Some chit chat.

Another week has past in a blue. Been battling a cold. It’s not bad, just enough to be irritating. And its a good excuse to burrow under a blanket and read some good books. I have so many to read. Something about cold weather always sets off my buying binge. LOL That, and so many new books are releasing. Looks like its going to be another fabulous year in reading.

It’s been pretty darn cold here on the Gulf Coast. Right now the sun is reflecting off the frost. Its the closest we usually come to snow. Once the sun gets above the trees it will melt quickly. So pretty right now. It has me longing for spring and I think I’ll search my books for something beachy to read. LOL

Have a lovely Sunday.

  1. All of your books look so tempting. Thanks for sharing, and enjoy.

  2. Greg says:

Wow some frost for you guys huh? Must have gotten a little chilly. And I agree this year looks like it’s going to be a great year for reading!

Hope you feel better. I’ve been sniffling too and I’m kind of sick of it lol.

    • fuonlyknew says:

I woke up just after daybreak and let the dog out. The sun was dazzling. Frost is usually as close as we get to having snow. I can’t believe I didn’t think to take pictures.

  3. OMGosh, the Blackwell book looks so spooky and good!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I couldn’t resist it. And I’m thrilled to be starting a series at the beginning. I’m so bad about jumping in anywhere. LOL

  4. Tammy says:

I just love frost! We don’t get much winter action where I live, so I just enjoy everyone’s stories about the snow and ice😁

  5. siran says:

    ” burrow under a blanket ” —- nice phrase I like it

  6. The Kappy King series looks so interesting! Definitely adding it to my list.

  7. I’m still trying to decide which dog related books I’m reading for the Puppy Love Challenge-I’m not very organised this week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I have so many to choose from. I have managed to narrow it down and actually got a couple of them read. I can understand you being disorganized after not having internet service. Glad you are back up and running!

  8. Lilyn G says:

Been battling a cold here too.

Out of Darkness looks like it could be interesting!

    • fuonlyknew says:

It’s one of those colds that isn’t very bad but just seems to linger. I liked the sound of Out Of Darkness and I’m eager to read it.

  9. sjhigbee says:

Hm. We’ve had frosts too – I have to say when I’m scraping ice off the car, I don’t think about how pretty it is! And I thoroughly agree about this year’s selection of books – we’ve also busted our book budget! Stay warm and snuggly with a good book, Laura!

    • fuonlyknew says:

Yeah, the scraping it off the car thing isn’t so pretty. LOL Right after the sun gets above the trees the frost disappears quickly. And I’m excited about the books coming out this year. I have a lot of series I’m reading that are getting new editions!

  10. Sorry about your cold. Hope you get better soon!

    Here’s my Sunday Post!

  11. It’s been cold here in Ohio too. We’ve had some snow and this Wednesday, the forecast is a a high of 0. Stay warm. I hope you have a great week. Thanks for the freebies.

    • fuonlyknew says:

It’s usually cold for a few days and then warms up nicely. We are supposed to dip into freezing temps mid week and then warm up again. I long for spring!

  12. Beware Of The Reader says:

I am glad to see that the cold does not seem to deter you from reading Laura! Here we usually get lots of snow yet this year we got barely an inch so far and it melted after two days…Have a great Sunday!

    • fuonlyknew says:

Nothing works better than escaping into a good story when I’m not feeling up to par:) The cold is more a nuisance than a bad one. Just seems to be lingering.

  13. It isn’t to bad in NJ today but the end of the week we will need to be polar bears to enjoy it. It’s dropping below 20 degrees. I hope you are feeling better, rest is the best medicine.

Those books are tempting and I am going back to check some of the out. 🙂

Have a great week, Laura! Happy Reading! xx

    • fuonlyknew says:

Wednesday is supposed to be in the 20s here. With rain. So I expect we might see some ice balls. I have a stack of books waiting for me to cuddle up with:)

  14. StackingMy BookShelves says:

I am also on a few of those book tours. I can’t wait to read Blackwell and hoping to get to it this week sometime. I hope you get rid of that cool, I know how long they can linger. Have a wonderful week.

    Mary my #SundayRoundup #55!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I kept seeing Blackwell and decided i must give it a read. I’m feeling almost like myself again, thanks:)

  15. I held myself to one freebie. Think you can guess it? LOL

  16. Love Notes in Reindeer Falls looks good. Think I may 1-click that and hoard it for next Christmas!

  17. I hope you are feeling better. I’ve been in a curl up under a blanket mood this week, too.

  18. They’re talking about windchills of 30 below here next week. Not looking forward to that! Enjoy your comfy sick time under the covers. 🙂

  19. Yvonne says:

All of your books look so good. Some I have and others are new-to-me. I hope you enjoy them and have a great week and feel better!

  20. Sorry to hear about your cold. Those little ones that just make themselves known drive me crazy. I’d almost rather get sick and get it over with! Glad you’re getting rest and getting some reading time in. It’s cold here too and I’m not amused. I’ve had about enough of it. Have a great week!

  21. kozbisa says:

Nagging colds are the worst. They just linger and make you feel uncomfortable and nobody needs that. I hope you shake it soon.

  22. S. J. Pajonas (spajonas) says:

Wow. Frosty on the Gulf Coast! It’s been a cold winter so far. I hope you feel better soon!

    • fuonlyknew says:

The frost was so pretty. I wouldn’t be surprised if we get some freezing rain this coming week. That cold front is dipping down here to give us another cold blast around mid week.

  23. The polar vortex is suppose to hit here these week and its going to be below zero again. I’m over it!

  24. Does one ever need an excuse to buy books? Cold weather is just one of them!

Match Me if You Can looks good. I hope you like it.

  25. I’ve been reading a lot, too. Mostly because there’s several feet of snow outside, and it’s very cold. Enjoy your new books. Have a great week!

  26. Liliana says:

Ooooh looks like you got a lot of good books this week! Happy reading! And stay warm! Lol.

  27. Oh nooo. Hope you feel better soon, Laura! Being sick is never fun even if you have the excuse to read and stay under the blanket. 😉

  28. Look at the puppies. That seems like a good series. I hope your cold ends soon. My husband is getting one too. He has said it’s allergies for 2 days but he’s wrong. It’s a cold. I bought him some Theraflu Cold pods for the Keurig today. I’ve been wanting to get some and hope they work.

  29. Stormi D Johnson says:

Sorry to hear you have a cold I feel ya! I am battling a viral infection and feel horrible. You did grab a bunch of books. 🙂 Hope you enjoy them all!

Blerg on the cold! They seem to have gotten a lot of us this month.

LOVE Amy Lillard. I’ve not read in that series of hers yet. I need to get on that!

    Hope you’re feeling better soon!

  33. Daniela Ark says:

Hope you get over that cold! but yeah.. such a good excuse! 🙂 Yup I hear you what else to do in the cold weather than to read, get more books and repeat 🙂 I like how the Lock and Key looks like! Hope it;s good!

    • fuonlyknew says:

My cold is pretty much gone and we had a couple of beautiful, warm and sunny days. Now the chill is coming back and I’ll return to my den to hibernate with more books.

  34. Carole says:

Colds are the worst! I hope you are feeling better quickly. I hope you have a great week and enjoy your new books!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I’m feeling myself again. Thanks, Carole. Now I’m going into hibernation for a couple days as the winter storm approaches. Got some good books to keep me company:)
