I added this book back in September of 2015. I shared it today to make sure I finally pull it off the shelf and read it to see what I’ve been missing!

  1. I so much wanted to like this book! I personally found it too slow and over descriptive but in saying that, you know I like a story to get cracking quickly so readers with more patience will like this better than me. Hope you do enjoy it!

I’ve read many different reviews about this over the years and that makes me curious to see how I feel about it. I hope I like it.

  2. Tammy says:

I’m glad I’m not the only one who hasn’t read this!

  3. alisbooks says:

I love this book! Hope you get to it soon!

  4. Rachel @Waves of Fiction says:

I’ve seen a lot of good things about this series, but I’ve never tried it. Hope you love it, Laura! 🙂

  5. Beware Of The Reader says:

One that I can relate to Laura!!! This one is taunting me on every bookstagram an dmy daughter even owns the French version but …

  6. kozbisa says:

Look, you know I am not a fantasy reader, but I absolutely adored this book. Bardugo blew me away.

  7. I’ve had this one on my radar for years! It sounds like a good read and I hope you get to it soon!

  8. Carole says:

I actually have this one in my backlog of books as well. I hope we both like it when we get the chance to read it.

  9. I have bought this on audio I think. Ugh. When I buy a book it goes to the TBR death pile. I always read the ARCS and library books which have a due date first. I want to read it too.

    • fuonlyknew says:

I’m all over the place on getting to books. I try to grab an older one, then an ARC, then a review book or two. This has sat for too long and I will read it now.

  10. sjhigbee says:

I also took waay too long to get to this one. If you like fantasy heist adventures, then this will be right up your street. While there was plenty of time setting the scene and establishing the characters, I personally enjoyed the build-up as I felt it added to the ultimate stakes so that I really cared, which is sometimes an issue for me in these sorts of books. Happy reading, Laura:))

    • fuonlyknew says:

I can handle a slower beginning if it helps me identify with the characters. Hoping I’ll really enjoy it:)
