This is my own version of a weekly book haul and all things new on fuonlyknew.

I’m also linking up with The Sunday Post hosted by Kimberly @Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Some chit chat.

Got my son’s new computer all set up and now I have my baby back! LOL It’s been weird sharing a computer but also a bit relaxing. Funny how not being able to go online can do that to a person. I sure have been missing a lot of great posts and I’ll be trying to stop in and see what I’ve missed.

I did manage to catch up on some shows. I, Zombie and Mindhunter are a couple I’ve been watching. And I want to try Veronica Mars. Curious about it since a lot of people have been sharing their thoughts on the show.

And, of course, I’ve been catching up on some reading. I’ve noticed I’m really into the horror again and I have some good ones I’m saving for the month of October.

It’s good to be back y’all!

Have a lovely Sunday everyone.

Glad your computer situation is cleared up! I’m going through a similar thing now- my PC died last week and I’m using an older one. It’s an older operating system so everything is complicated haha- can’t comment on certain blogs, can’t watch Amazon Prime b/c the OS is older and not supported, etc. Fun. Hopefully I’ll have a new one soon.

I’m starting to get in the mood for spookier reads too with fall approaching. Abominable looks fun!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I’m just glad I had a computer fund set up just for things like this happening. LOL I had this great computer guy who could fix just about anything but he recently moved away. But, I don’t think he could have fixed my son’s computer anyway. It was time for a new one. Abominable was really fun!

  2. I’ve got way too many TV series to catch up with, some from many years ago and I need to start finding time to watch the start of each one and decide which are worth continuing with!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I work mostly nights now so I need to unwind when I get home. Hard to just fall asleep. Catching a few episodes of a show helps with that.

  3. I’m glad you have the computer and it’s all sorted out! So happy for you! And enjoy those horror stories!

    • fuonlyknew says:

My son is now holed up in his cave with the new computer. LOL And I’m tearing through several good scary books right now!

  4. Beware Of The Reader says:

Oooh I bet it’s been relaxing to be away from the computer Laura! Having a “good excuse” you didn’t even have to feel guilty LOL And yes I have noticed that you are back in “horror” mood but October is still more than one month away!

    • fuonlyknew says:

No guilt. LOL But it sure is good to have my computer back. I have so many scary books to read. Going to be fun:)

  5. I read the Mindhunter book but haven’t watched the show. I love all of John Douglas’ books. They are so interesting. I’m a true crime junkie though!

  6. Stormi D Johnson says:

Sometimes unplugging can be good but I think I would probably go a bit batty…lol. Glad you got your computer back!

I need to watch Mindhunter but kind of feel like I should start over as I don’t really remember a whole lot about the first season…lol. I finished the third season of The Worst Witch, it was cute! 🙂

    Have a great day!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I did miss being able to jump on the computer whenever I felt like it. Good to not have to share anymore. LOL Mindhunter is one I have to pay close attention to while watching. Lots of subtle things to take in. I really like it.

  7. kozbisa says:

I haven’t watched the Veronica Mars reboot, but I was a huge fan of the original run (the movie and the books were great too)

  8. Tammy says:

Glad to hear you have your computer back, I think I would actually enjoy the break as well! Looks like you have some really good horror selections, hope you enjoy😁

    • fuonlyknew says:

It was a nice break. Sure is nice to have my computer to myself again though. LOL I’ve read a couple more horror books and so far I’ve liked them all.

  9. We also have the new computer. My daughter got up late afternoon so of course she was up late last night setting up the new computer. She has been copying over stuff from one hard drive but has 2 others to do.

I don’t do the horror and cozy mysteries as much as you do but you are getting a nice haul. I have creepy plans for October also. I am bingeing right now on the mystery / thrillers. We both will be getting back to normal blog hopping and computer tasks this week. Happy reading! How’s the weather? It’s still plenty hot here.

    • fuonlyknew says:

I helped my son set his up. Was worried we might get stuck on some things but it went really well. Probably because I still remembered things from doing my new one last year. Phew! LOL It’s so nice to be able to visit again and I’ve missed so many fun posts!

  10. I can’t wait to watch the new Mindhunter! I have to watch season 3 of Glow first, though. 🙂

  11. Hubby & I just finished the last season of iZombie, Mindhunter s2 is next 🙂

We bought my son’s a laptop to share but my youngest hogs it so my older son uses my desktop all the time. I’ve had to learn to blog on my iPad 🙂

Wishing you a great reading week

    • fuonlyknew says:

I’m planning to wrap up IZombie and then Catch up on some other shows. It’s so good to have the computer all to myself again. My son is loving his new one.

  12. I’d hate sharing my computer so congrats on having the patience and I’m happy you have it back!
iZombie is one I keep thinking I need to watch but haven’t got around to. Maybe when I finish Lucifer, that’ll be the next one. 🙂

    • fuonlyknew says:

It’s great to have my computer all to myself again. LOL I started watching the latest season of Lucifer but wasn’t feeling it at the time. I need to go back to it.

  13. i know what it’s like to share a computer and i want to remedy that too. glad it’s up and running and you have yours back, though i see you enjoyed the break. lol

    • fuonlyknew says:

I know your office computer is down and how much you use it for work and fun. I hope you find the perfect one to replace it, Sherry:)

  14. Carole says:

There have been times that I couldn’t go online because of internet problems and it is weird not to be able to do the things I usually do. Glad you got your situation worked out. Yay for having some good reads. I hope you have a great week, Laura!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I kept thinking I need to check something out online and then remembering my son is using my computer! LOL

  15. yvonne473 says:

Glad your computer issues are worked out. Those book covers all look so good. I have a few of them. Enjoy your books and have a great week!

  16. Liliana says:

Oooh I also need to catch up on iZombie! Actually, there are a lot of shows I need to catch up on 😬 But I’ve been really into watching anime lately so I’ll get to them eventually 😅 And hurray for getting your computer back! Lol

Hope you have a great week!

  17. Enjoy your new books! I’m still in summer mode, not even thinking about fall reading.

    • fuonlyknew says:

I’m thinking ahead and trying to get holiday reads reviewed and saved as it’s always such a busy time.

  18. Glad the computer got worked out. I finally got my work one replaced Friday. Even though it wasn’t on me, it was still a pain working around it for a week or so. Looks like you got some great books. I’m pretty sure I bought Blackwater Val some time ago but never read it – story of my life!

    • fuonlyknew says:

It’s great to be able to use my computer whenever I want again. Nice break from it too though. LOL Blackwater Val was on my older wish list and I decided to grab it.

  19. It is always nice to be forced to unplug a bit but it’s such a relief to be back online! Glad the computer got set up. I’m sure a relief for both of you. Love all your cozies and one of these days I’ll try horror! Have a great week!

  20. Lelia T says:

I haven’t thought about Doug Clegg in years but I liked a lot of his books. He came to the store a few times—nice guy!

  21. S. J. Pajonas (spajonas) says:

I want to go back and re-watch V Mars. That was such a great show!
