This is my own version of a weekly book haul post and all things new on fuonlyknew.
Another fun way to share your book news is The Sunday Post
hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Wow, did this week fly by or what?! Seems like I just did one of these posts.
Not a whole lot happened this week. I read some more books, got some new ones, and watched a lot of scary movies and shows.
What did you guys think of The Walking Dead? Did you cry when Rick saw Judith? I did! This is going to be such a killer season.
The weather is awesome. In the low 80s and drops to mid 60s at night. Perfect for me. I don’t miss those hot, humid nights. Still warm enough for swimming and I’ve spent a lot of time outside, reading and just enjoying the pool. Got to get my time in before it turns too cool.
Got some great news. My oldest brother, who lives in Michigan, is renting a motorhome and coming down in November for a spell. My mom is coming with him! Going to have some fun then.
Well, my life hasn’t been exactly exciting lately, so not much more to talk about.
Except that something is wiggy with my computer. Have to take it to my guru so he can get rid of those pesky gremlins. They are causing so much havoc.
I apologize if I don’t stop by for your Sunday Posts. I don’t how much longer I can use this thing before it locks up.
So let’s get to my haul!

So, what did you get to read this week?
Got any recommendations?
I’d love to know and thanks so much for visiting fuonlyknew.
Porcelain looks creepy. Dolls are pretty scary, at least in my opinion.
I’m thinking of some of the movies I’ve watched with dolls. They really are creepy. Now we have a new one, Annabelle!
Of all the Sunday posts I’ve visited today, you’ve got the best atmospheric group by far. Hope you enjoy them all.
My weekly recap: http://www.bookclublibrarian.com/2014/10/weekly-book-recap-86.html
Thanks! I love to mix it up.
Enjoy all those books. Have a good time when your Mum and brother visit too. 🙂
I’m reading like crazy:) Now I need to get reviews done so I can free up some time when they come to visit.
Great post Laura! You always entertain while you bring the best books out to bear! Lots of love, Emily
Just sharing what I love Emily:)
I haven’t been watching much scary stuff considering it’s October- not sure why. Enjoy the new books!
I think the Kitty hawk books look cute, nice win. Have a great week.
You’d enjoy Kitty Hawk. It’s a riot right from the beginning and there’s some illustrations and maps scattered throughout the book. Makes it more fun:)
Wow, you have quite the haul!
Hope you have fun when your brother and mom come to visit. That’s always great.
I hate when the computer gets “wiggy,” and can relate to the distress. Good luck! And thanks for visiting my blog.
Finally got my computer back. It’s still not right but it will have to do until I can get a new one. This ones getting up there in age.
My husband has been loving The Walking Dead. I’m not so much a fan. The one episode I saw involved the little girls and looking at the flowers. Probably not the best to start with! Good luck with your computer. Those kinds of technical difficulties drive me crazy! Have a great week!
The episode with the girls, not the best one to view for a first one.
My computer is back home with me but still twitchy. I’ll have to do some tweaking to put my posts together.
Sorry. I’m not into Walking Dead but Christmas in Dog Town is really cute 🙂
Thanks for dropping by my blog 🙂
NYZE@everythingnyze
It’s not for everyone. I cringe sometimes, and not much gets to me.
Dog Town is a fun one. Looking forward to sharing it soon.
Death Never Sleeps sounds perfect for fall. Wahoo to family coming to visit. I hope you have a blast. Enjoy your week 🙂
I started reading it last night. Quite a lot of atmosphere right at the start.
I’m hoping to get a few days off of work so I can spend more time with them when they arrive. Only have a week before they head back home.
Woot! Looks like you got some delicious (and scary) reads! I REALLY want to watch The Walking Dead! I’m neck-deep in Leverage right now, which is freakishly fantastic, and kind of watching Supernatural (mostly crying) but The Walking Dead calls to me. Zombies ftw.
Be prepared with TWD. No one is spared, no one is safe!
I started watching Scorpoin. Not sure if I’ll stay with it. I like Big Bang Theory and Criminal Minds the best.
I grabbed a couple for my sky high reading shelf. LOL Thanks for sharing all the goodies, Laura. I hope your computer gets straightened out. Those gremlins seem to jump around and find all of us at one time or another. Patience is the key with technology.
Sherry’s Shelves
I just got it back from my guru and even he couldn’t get everything to work right. I’m using a different browser and this seems to slow it down. Remember how fast my computer was? Not so fast anymore.
I was going to comment on what great books you seems to have but got completely sidetracked by THE WALKING DEAD!!! My heart broke after that episode, it started the minuet Daryl so Carol :(.
looks like you’ve had a good week though, happy reading for this week 🙂
I loved that scene. Daryl loses everyone. It’s about time someone he cares about lives. I cried a couple of times on this episode. Also cussed and ranted. They wrote one hell of a heart pounder!
You got some very nice and creepy-looking books last week, Laura! And I love the picture at the top of your post – I would love to have shelves and a lounge-couch/chair like that. Can you imagine reading surrounded by books like that?
Happy reading.
I sometimes wish I was the cyborg! That’s why I love this picture. Never having to sleep and surrounded by books. What’s not to love. LOL
LOL, I can’t even imagine the happiness that would bring!!
