My Tease for this week is from
Vostok
by Steve Alten
My Tease is from page 139 in the Hard Cover.
But I was no longer listening to them, for the emptiness that had occupied our sonar monitor was no longer empty, the vacuum of space replaced by three distinct blips —
— and they were coming our way.

Synopsis
East Antarctica: The coldest, most desolate location on Earth. Two-and-a-half miles below the ice cap is Vostok, a six thousand square mile liquid lake, over a thousand feet deep, left untouched for more than 15 million years. Now, marine biologist Zachary Wallace and two other scientists aboard a submersible tethered to a laser will journey 13,000 feet beneath the ice into this unexplored realm to discover Mesozoic life forms long believed extinct – and an object of immense power responsible for the evolution of modern man.
In this sequel to The Loch and prequel to the upcoming MEG 5: Nightstalkers, New York Times best-selling author Steve Alten offers readers a crossover novel that combines characters from two of his most popular series.
Steve Alten is the New York Times and International bestselling author of fourteen novels, including the MEG series about Carcharodon Megalodon, the 70-foot, 100,000 pound prehistoric cousin of the Great White shark and Domain trilogy, a series about the Mayan Calendar’s 2012 doomsday prophecy. His work has been published in over 30 countries and is being used in thousands of middle and high school curriculum as part of Adopt-An-Author, a free teen reading program, which he founded with teachers back in 1999.

I’ve read all of Steve’s Meg series and The Loch book and loved them all. I’m so excited to get this ARC. It ties all of the books together and gets you prepared for the upcoming fifth book in the Meg series.
Giant magalodons and prehistoric creatures of the deep. My what big teeth you have! LOL

Lots of suspense and some surprises too.
Cool! I haven’t read this author’s stuff, but I like the atmosphere in the teaser. Its so much fun when authors bring their different series/characters together. I hope you get your hands on this soon! And thanks for stopping by my Teaser!
He has three different series and I think he’s using this one to bring all three together soon.
That teaser conjures up a feeling of dread – great choice. Thanks for visiting my TT https://cleopatralovesbooks.wordpress.com/2015/02/24/teaser-tuesday-february-24/
Dread is a good description. Giant marine creatures trying to eat you will do that. LOL
I kid you not, you always feature some of the best action-packed series & books 🙂 Great teaser!
Thanks Claudia! I can’t get enough!
Sounds ominous. Happy reading!
Yeah. Cue the theme from Jaws! LOL
I have seen this author around but never tried him, but after seeing you mention Loch on her and now this one I think I need to give him a try. Which should I try first? 🙂
Read Loch first. You can also read his Meg series. You don’t have to read them first as this book easily brings them together, but they are awesome!
That cover is amazeballs!
Sounds scary as heck. I love that!
LOL I love that! It’s scary and out there too!
Sounds creepy! Enjoy! I think I need a break from creepy and sad right now.
I get this craving now and then. Actually, most of the time. LOL I do love scary:)

I love all of his books and like that he’s tying his series together. It’s fun to meet familiar characters in different books.
This isn’t generally something I would read, but that’s a great teaser. I got goosebumps reading it. I dread to think what happened next haha!
Thank you so much for stopping by. 🙂
Shaunna @ Books Over Bros
If this was a movie you’d be hiding! LOL
Sounds so interesting! The description reminds me a bit of Jules Verne’s Journey To the Center of the Earth.
Great comparison as they do go deep, to an ocean under the ocean!
Oh my, that’s kind of terrifying! Great teaser, thanks for sharing!
It sure is. I’d be peeking through my fingers if this was a movie. LOL
Ohmy! That is one scary gator. Have you finish reading it? 🙂
NYZE@EverythingNyze
Yes I have. That gator ain’t nothing compared to some of the monsters of the deep they encounter. Of course, this gator is ginormous too!
All of the elements for a great thriller. Title, cover, teaser. Beautiful.
This week mine is from a cozy mystery: http://pdworkman.com/excerpt-from-panthers-play-for-keeps-books-teasertuesday-amereading-mystery/
