This is my own version of a weekly book haul and all things new on fuonlyknew.

I’m also linking up with The Sunday Post hosted by Kimberly @Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Sunday Post

Some chit chat.

It’s raining. It’s pouring. This here gal is snoring. LOL Seriously it is raining alligators and sharks here on the coast. And I love it. I’m snuggled in with some good books and plan to tune in to the telly tonight with a big bowl of popcorn with extra butter!

I have a stack of DVDs ready and waiting and plenty in my Netflix Que and On Demand playlist. Can you guess what genre most of them are? You probably guessed right. Horror, suspense, thrillers, science fiction, dystopian, and did I mention horror? LOL

And I have some of them same in my reading stack. Oh, I’m a happy camper, dry and snuggled up and ready to begin. Got any plans for your weekend?

My new books this week.

ZERO

What’s this you say! No new books. LOL I was so busy reading and listening to books that I neglected shopping for new ones.

  1. I one-clicked the Knowing, so thank you for that. I love a good thunderstorm and snuggling with a book. I wouldn’t mind the snow so much if the temps were higher, it has been frigid with temps in the low teens all week. Happy reading and binging.

    • fuonlyknew says:

I would have clicked on The Knowing but found I already had. LOL I hope the winter weather breaks for you. I just can’t do frigid tems. Especially here in the south. It’s such a damp cold I freeze from the inside out.

  2. Greg Hill says:

That sounds like a pretty good plan, I like staying in with books and movies/ shows too. Works for me!

Under a Telltale Sky- hmm/ That looks good!

    • fuonlyknew says:

It’s the same today, so I’ll be doing the same. LOL I thought of you when I came across Tell Tale Sky, Greg:)

  3. Your weekend sounds WONDERFUL! Ugg, I wish I could join in with the movie fun! Enjoy your movies, have lots of popcorn for me, and happy reading! 🙂

  4. I can’t seem to get motivated to watch films these days and I have a ton that I want to get round to! I might need to do a challenge like when I did my Deep Blue Terror for books and films last year. I have ten films based on true events and a pile of horror I want to watch including It and Jeepers Creepers 3!

    • fuonlyknew says:

Films based on true events would be a good feature! I watched IT and ‘it’ was okay. LOL Jeepers 3 let me down. Have you watched The Ritual yet? It’s got a wendigo in it.

    • fuonlyknew says:

The freebie I shared, Portal Zero, is an EMP one I found. Thought you might like to sample it.

  5. I do love a good rainy day to curl up with a good book. I admit I’m a little jealous. My excuse for staying in is simply a cold day and being lazy. And no new books isn’t a bad thing. Sometimes it’s good when you’ve spent so much time watching films and reading.

    • fuonlyknew says:

I think one of the reasons I didn’t get any new books is they haven’t arrived in the mail yet. LOL And I am really bust writing a bunch of reviews that are coming due. I also found some new movies to watch.

  6. It’s still snowing here, meanwhile 🙂 we’ve got LOADS of snow! I’m getting bored of it xD
Oh! I also got zero books! I am only featuring my haul from last week I didn’t feature! Go us!!

    • fuonlyknew says:

The only time I miss snow is at Christmas. Took me a long time to get used to a green one. LOL And it did come as a shock when I realized I had no new books. Not even any freebies! I’m sure I’ll make up for that. LOL

  7. *gasp* NO new books, Laura? How in the world do you do it? I have some weeks where I think I’ve done really well, and then, on Friday evening BAM! my one-click finger runs amok 😉
Stay safe, I would hate it if a snow alligator or shark fell on you :O
Have a wonderful week ahead, and happy reading.

    • fuonlyknew says:

I know. I went to my folder and found no new books. I keep one just so I can easily find and share them on this post. Feels kind of good? LOL Snow alligator? Now that would be a good one for a scary story!

  8. Rain, coastal area and horror seems like a great combination. Oh and extra buttered popcorn would make it all better.

  9. Would rather have your rain than our ice. 🙁 Though I can snuggle down to it as well cause I am not getting out in it. It’s just we have already missed two classes do to snow and our poor teacher is getting grumble as it’s cutting out designing time down…lol.
Class closed or not if it’s still icy I won’t be going. 🙂

No book! *faints* I need to have more weeks like that..lol.

Have a great week and happy reading!
    Stormi
    Week in Review

    • fuonlyknew says:

No ice, thank you very much. It’s muggy and soggy here, and warm! I can’t wait for sping and all things growing, Stormi. It’s weird to here about snow days. And I’m hoping you’ll share the results from your project!

  10. Michelle P says:

I love snuggly says, this weekend has been super rainy but don’t have time to get all snuggly because adulting happened, I hate adulting. lol
The knowing looks interesting, going to go click on that real quick. lol

Have a great week, Laura! Happy Reading!

  11. Stay dry!!

  12. We’re getting quite a bit of rain here this weekend too although no sharks or alligators. Although that does sound like a movie SyFy would make. We watched The Ritual the other night and it was pretty good. Especially since it was on Netflix and we didn’t have to pay extra to watch it. Glad you enjoyed The Book of Riley. I have that series on my Kindle.

    • fuonlyknew says:

Guess I’ve watched too many B movies. LOL The Ritual surprised me. I didn’t have a clue what it was going to be about. The ending was kind of meh, but the rest was good. I’ll be sharing the other three Riley books this month too. Fun series:)

  13. I’m really interested to see your review of “Against Her Will.” I don’t like to read a lot of non-fiction anymore. I like reading to escape reality, but this story hits close to home. I grew up on Long Island just three towns over from Valley Stream, and Kelly Ann Tinyes was my neighbor’s niece – he was really shaken by it. It shocked Long Island because of the “boy next door” aspect of the murder. I’ll be looking forward to the review.

    • fuonlyknew says:

I actually bought Against Her Will a couple of years ago and it somehow got buried under other books. It’s now on my TBR challenge so I will get to it soon. That sure does hit close to home for you.

  14. Beware Of The Reader says:

No new books??? LOL Thank you for the freebies it’s always welcome!

  15. Its raining here as well so its a perfect day to stay inside!! Hope you have a great week!

  16. krazaykris says:

I wish it would rain here. We got some heavy fog one morning this week and I was so excited. It’s been cloudy, too, but no rain. 🙁

  17. Enjoy those books! Thanks for sharing, and for visiting my blog. I just had a nap…yeah, midday, and I’m settling down for a PB&J while I read some more. Have a great weekend.

  18. Snuggling up with a good book while it’s raining outside is the best! Enjoy your books and movies!!!

    Have a great week!

  19. sjhigbee says:

Oh, well done for looking ahead and getting thoroughly prepared for the lousy weather! I’m hoping to tuck in at home, get my head down and power through plenty of work:). In the meantime I hope you had a fabulous weekend, Laura:)

  20. Yvonne says:

It’s pouring rain here too. Miserable day, but a great day to catch up on TV and reading 🙂 Have a great week!

  21. Vani | Off-Color Literature says:

No rain here but waiting for a ton of snow to melt! Ugh. So happy to be inside and dry. Awesome freebies!

  22. It’s raining where we are too. Although, I’m not too upset about this since I love rainy weather (as long as it doesn’t thunder or lightning).

    Here’s my Sunday Post!

Ronyell @ Rabbit Ears Book Blog and join in this week’s Book Photo Sundays and Cover Spotlight!

  23. Alligators and sharks! That’s a new one lol. Sounds like you have nice night in planned though!

  24. It rained here all through the week. I hated driving such long distances in it for my appointments. I thought it was past since we got this arctic blast in, but on my way out of the grocery this morning I was pelted. My flip-flopped feet were near frozen. I’m staying cocooned for the rest of the day.

  25. It’s been raining here where I live as well. The weather here is crazy. My husband is tired of me running the fan.

  26. If it’s raining and I’m able to snuggle in with a good book I love it! Glad to hear you enjoy that type of thing, too. I love Katie Ruggle’s romantic suspense so I’m happy to hear you loved Run to Groung! I’m actually reading Survive the Night right now and it’s sooo good! 🙂

    • fuonlyknew says:

I have the fan on and watching the figure skating Olympics. It’s not stopped raining for days! And I can’t wait to get Survive The Night! Should be here this week. I’m also going to check out her other series.

  27. Heidi says:

Glad you are enjoying the rain. We haven’t had quite as much of it this year, and I am so happy. We got drenched last year. It’s nice to not get new books, I like to catch up a bit. Hope you have a lovely week.

  28. I’m sitting here right now listening to the rain pelting down. And I’m warm and cozy by the fire, it’s such a snug feeling. Happy reading!

  29. Daniela Ark says:

I’m officially jealous! It’s has been forever since I’ve been able stay home and just nap or read on a rainy day 🙂 Glad to hear you pampered yourself Laura! 🙂 And OF COURSE I knew you would be watching horror and its other dark siblings genres because that’s what I would do and we are blogger horror twins ;-P

  30. I hope you stayed dry and enjoyed your DVDs! I think your rain came up here though as it’s been raining all day and not likely to stop anytime soon. I think I’ll take a page from your book and not leave the house!
