Some chit chat.
I swear, the older I get, the more time flies. Hit the breaks! I’m looking forward to retiring. Got less than two years to go. My best friend and I have been saving up for a trip to Paris, London and Dublin. Going for a month. While I look forward to not working anymore and going on this fabulous trip, I wish I could put the breaks on aging. I’m young at heart even if I don’t look it anymore. It’s so unfair to feel young and then catch a glimpse in the mirror. Sometimes it startles me. Ever have that happen? Catch your reflection and go, oh, that’s me? Smile, blow yourself a kiss and keep on keeping on!
Looking forward to chatting with you and have a great new week!

I agree! Time needs to slow down. Either that or we need to stop this aging thing.
Your trip sounds fabulous. Happy New Year! Be well!!
Time has been flying for me before I retired. It IS going way to fast. Your trip sounds simply amazing. Have a wonderful New Year!
That’s great you’re so close to retiring and are planning a month long trip with your best friend. Aging is less fun and stopping time on that would be nice for sure. Have a great week and happy new year!
Happy New Year, Laura! I know what you mean about looking in the mirror, lol. I don’t feel my age at all (or dress or act like it) so I avoid mirrors as much as possible
Taht happens to me too Laura! And I still feel sixteen in my head!
Time really is flying. Since I retired 4 years ago, it’s just been zooming by. I hope you have a great week. Happy New Year!
I think that is so cool that you are saving to have such a retirement getaway with a friend. I don’t know where the year goes but I wouldn’t mind a bit of a slow down…lol. Have a great new year!

Week in Review
Some great looking books! Really interested in the reviews on these.
My Sunday Post
I know Laura! Time is flying. I’ve wanted to travel more but between COVID and my daughter’s health it’s not happening right now. I feel so much younger, even like I’d like to fall in love, get married and have more kids but I’m too old to have kids now. Happy New Year!
Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
I agree. Time keeps slipping as we get older. I wish I could put on the breaks regarding aging too.
Your trip with your BFF sounds like it should be fun. I’d love to do something like that as well.
I hope you have a great new year’s celebration!

I feel like I’m living in a time paradox where time is simultaneously moving faster and slower at the same time. I think there’s a phrase that goes something like; the days are long but the years are short? I feel that.
You’ve got some great book titles here that are catching my eye. Thanks for sharing those freebies! Happy New Year!

Some very fun book covers there! Hope you enjoy.
Totally agree with you; time seems to go faster and faster the older I get…
My weekly roundup.
It’s so true. I’m like 15 years younger in my head! Happy New Year!
Jimmy Buffett said it best – getting old isn’t for sissies. I feel the age thing everyday. Just turned 51 and I still feel 14. Hope you have a great new year.
Your trip sounds great! Happy New Year!
