This is my own version of a weekly book haul and all things new on fuonlyknew.

I’m also linking up with The Sunday Post hosted by Kimberly @Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

~~~~~
Some chit chat.
I’m on staycation! I plan to hang around home. Got all my errands run and stocked up on snacks and such so I don’t have to leave home until I return to work on Thursday. Also got my QUE packed on Netflix and a stack of DVDs to watch. My Kindle is waiting and so are some print books. Did a double take when I noticed most of the books were horror or thrillers,  Happy days! LOL I finally kicked my slump in the patootie and writing lots of reviews and getting back to blogging ahead. All that’s keft to do is step out the back door and enter my little slice of heaven. I’ll be enjoying that pool!
After some delicious, spicy Bloody Mary’s in the mornings and tart and tangy Matgarita’s in the afternoons, I’ll wrestle this gator that crawled in my pool. And if all I did was drink the whole time, he’d probably win!
That’s all for this week.
Have a fabulous  Sunday!
  8. kozbisa says:
    Sometimes staycations are the best! Just being able to relax, and not have anywhere to be can be such a treat. I have not gone on a real vacation in years, so I will use my days, one at a time. I usually take a Wednesday off to break up my work week. Glad you are out of your slump. Enjoy your vacay!
    • fuonlyknew says:
      I go on weekend trips now and then but when I have more time off I enjoy just hiding out at home:)
  9. Sounds like a fun staycation ahead, enjoy! That pool looks so inviting!
    Have a great week and happy reading,
  10. Staycation sounds heavenly.
    Well done in getting ahead with blogging, truly need to take a page from your book. How long does it take for you to write one review? I think I need to find a better and faster way to write mine.
    • fuonlyknew says:
      Some reviews take hours and some I even have to wait and come back to. Most kind of write themselves, especially if I really enjoyed the book. I also write mini reviews now and they. What’s funny is sometimes they are the hardest. LOL
  11. I grabbed the second volume of Tales from the Lake yesterday. I didn’t realize the first Tales from the Lake was only $.99. I just grabbed it. 🙂 You are going to have an amazing week. Enjoy the heck out of that staycation!!
    • fuonlyknew says:
      I’m enjoying it immensely. Just what the doctor ordered:) I’m going to read the first two Tales from the Lake and then go grab the others.
  12. Have a wonderful staycation! I am jealous of your pool!
  13. Enjoy the day!
  14. Yvonne says:
    Happy Staycation! What fun! I hope you enjoy it. Those books all look good. Alice in Murderland sounds really good. I have to look that one up 🙂 Have a great week!
  15. I tend to up my suspense reading in summer. It’s kind of weird because I either go with heavy suspense or really like women’s fiction type books. There is no in between! I envy you your pool. It does sound like heaven! Enjoy your staycation and have a great week.
    • fuonlyknew says:
      It is funny how we prefer different genres for different seasons. LOL Right now I’m reading a thriller and then I’ll be reading a supernatural horror.
  16. sjhigbee says:
    It sounds wonderful! With a pool and lovely weather, plus all those books and the comforts of home – why would you want to spend hours travelling in crowded planes/trains/cars talking to people you don’t know and eat food you don’t really like?? I’m a fan of staycations! Have a wonderful one, Laura!
    • fuonlyknew says:
      I know. I have every thing I need right close by and I’m hiding out from the outside world! I even act like I’m not at home. LOL
  17. Hurray for the pool!! I’d love to have one at my next house! Great reads this week too! Tales From the Lake looks spooky!
  18. Enjoy the pool! It’s been so hot here lately that I could use one of those. Have a good week!
    • fuonlyknew says:
      The pool temp is perfect and I spend as much time as possible enjoying it. I like to go outside in the morning and read for a while, then cool off with a quick dip and back to reading:)
  19. Tammy says:
    Aagggh you totally have me craving a Bloody Mary right now!!😁
  20. Have a good time on your staycation, Laura! Sounds good and relaxing. 🙂
  21. A Renfro says:
    Enjoy your break. Sounds awesome.
  22. S. J. Pajonas (spajonas) says:
    Enjoy the pool and your staycation!!
  23. I see you did go and grab some of the Tales from the Lake books. I think there are 4 altogether. Your staycation sounds like a blast. My kind of break! I love the pool floatie too!
    • fuonlyknew says:
      Yep. I figure if I enjoy the first two, I’ll go grab the rest. My gator and I have agreed to share the pool. LOL
  24. Enjoy your staycation! Hope you read lots of great books and watch a ton of great movies too!
    • fuonlyknew says:
      I’ve been reading, watching a lot of movies and spending as much time as possible enjoying the pool:)
  25. Why does Through a Mirror Darkly sound so familiar? Hmm…📚
    I love your alligator floatie. 🐊
    I haven’t had a Bloody Mary in ages! There was this avant-garde art student I knew in college and she drank them all times of the day and if you visited her dorm room she made you drink one. Ha ha. I’ll have to get the fixins and make one. 🍅
    I hope you are enjoying your time off. Have a wonderful week. 🌞
    • fuonlyknew says:
      It sounded familiar to me too. Not sure if it reminds me of another book or a movie. My gator is allowing me to share the pool with him. LOL I like my Bloody Mary’s super spicy with some olives and celery!
  26. feeroberts64 says:
    You are a riot! Hope you enjoy that pool this weekend, also!
