It’s October and Halloween is on it’s way!!! Time for all things scary. You’ll be seeing some horror books and movies featured here this month. Probably a lot of them. But that’s really not something new as, on fuonlyknew……..

I do share a lot of scary stuff. Always have loved my horror. And boy do I have some good stuff in store for you this month!

I’m always dreading the end of summer. But there are some fun holidays coming up, and I do enjoy going through my winter clothes. Once I resign myself to cooler weather, it’s all about staying warm and snuggling up with a good book or watching a movie covered in a snuggy on my couch.

Just being curious, what’s your favorite season and holiday?

I’ll be hopping over to check out your Sunday Posts so be sure to leave me your link.

  1. I was able to resist any freebies…at least for now. 🙂

  2. Someone is in the mood for romance novels it looks like. 🙂 They all look pretty good! Can’t wait for your reviews for October! I was going to try doing a scary month but I didn’t plan ahead good enough and I have a lot of review books for this month that are not really scary, so I am going to try and add some spooky when I can. 🙂

I tried to avoid the freebies but got two…lol. 🙂

    Have a great week!

I can’t resist the last three months of the year. This is my favorite time. I love all the holidays coming up and so much to do. I didn’t plan ahead this time due to my major slump at the beginning of the year but I do have a few things planned.

You got a lot of books I need to go check out!

Have a great week, Laura! Happy Reading!

    • fuonlyknew says:

My blog gets very busy until December,. Then I ease back and spend time with family and friends and less on blogging.

  4. Ooo… I got the cat book. Thanks for sharing that freebie. I wish the Poop book was a little cheaper. Ha ha. I read the synopsis and it sounds hilarious. I love autumn, especially in the month of October. Halloween is my favorte holiday! Have a fabulous week. 🙂

    • fuonlyknew says:

I grabbed the kitty book too. Too cute. I posted my review for Poop on Amazon and Goodreads. I have a fun post for it coming up on my blog. It was such a cute story and I’ll be featuring a bunch of his books in December too. Got some good books lined up for this month. I love Halloween and love scary reads!

  5. Greg Hill says:

I do love this time of year and can’t wait to see what scary stuff you have in store for us. And I agree, there’s something fun about watching or reading when it gets brisk outside. Tangled Up In Brew looks fun, and I’m especially interested in The Ice Bridge with the Michigan connection.

    • fuonlyknew says:

The Ive Bridge was thrilling. All of Kathryn’s books are. I have several more I’ll be featuring soon. Tangled Up In Brew was a hoot!

  6. karen blue says:

I like all the seasons, except summer. I dislike it so much. The first word that comes to my mind when I think of summer is SWEAT.
I love winter. People aren’t running around anymore and white magical stuff falls from the sky. Although, spring is pretty awesome because of the flowers and the thaw. Its like the earth is showing off after the chill. Fall is pretty cool too because HALLOWEEN and foliage. I don’t know which one I like best. I ride a motorcycle now, so maybe whichever season I can ride in, that doesn’t involve too much sweat.
I can’t wait to read your review for The Kept Woman. I love that cover! Have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I can relate to sweat. I work outside and it gets miserable, especially when the humidity is high. But, I’d rather sweat than freeze. LOL My review ill be up Monday for The Kept Woman.

  7. sjhigbee says:

It sounds like you had a really busy week – I’m being very good and managing to avoid adding any new books until I’ve got on top of my reviewing and trimmed a few more off my TBR pile which is truly out of control… Even came away from Fantasycon with only a small handful of books! Have a great week:) This is my Sunday Post – https://sjhigbee.wordpress.com/2016/10/02/sunday-post-2nd-october/

    • fuonlyknew says:

I enjoyed your pictures from Fantasycon. Sure looks like you had fun. Good thing it only lasts the weekend or I have a feeling your book haul would have been larger. LOL

  8. I’m also excited for Halloween, mainly because of all the candy…but I’m also excited for all the scary reads I want to get to! Have a good week! 🙂

  9. I think my favorite holidays are Thanksgiving and Christmas. These have always been the holidays with the fondest memories of my family, when we are all together no matter what. Like the more sacred of holidays.

    • fuonlyknew says:

It seems like advertising skips over each holiday so fast. I too love the holidays that focus around family and lucky for me we all enjoy Halloween too:)

  10. Great haul this week! You got some really awesome books to read! Thanks for the free links too! I’m off to check out a couple 😀

    Here’s my Weekly Recap!

  11. Deborah says:

Halloween isn’t a huge thing here in Australia but it’s becoming more popular. I’ll have some candy (lollies) on hand, just in case of trick or treaters. I’ve been in an apartment building for the last 4yrs and no one could knock on my door!

We’re seeing the last of winter here I think. I hate summer so I wish it’d hang around longer though!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I don’t get any trick or treaters where I live. Too far out. But I always have some on handy, and I’m sure it won’t go to waste. LOL

  12. katarguelles says:

My favorite holidays are Thanksgiving and Christmas because of the family gatherings and the food. I’m not a fan of horror so I don’t watch a lot of scary movies. But for Halloween it’s always fun to watch Hocus Pocus or a Casper movie. You have a nice variety of books. I hope you enjoy them and have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I enjoy the holiday cartoons and old movies, whether Halloween, Thanksgiving, or Christmas. And I’m enjoying some holiday themed children’s books right now too.

  13. yvonne473 says:

All those books look so good. I have a few of them, too. I love horror type of books and movies. I’m always sad when summer ends, but we have some good times coming up too. Have a great week!

    • fuonlyknew says:

Horror and scary books will always be a favorite of mine. I’m going to miss the swimming. My pool is still warm now but by November it will start getting pretty chilly. LOL

  14. atothewr says:

I guess you probably know that Halloween is my favorite holiday followed closely by Christmas. Have a great week.

  15. Melissa (My World...in words and pages) says:

Every day is Halloween. lol. That’s cute! I like the warm, cozy winter clothes too. Nice to cozy in by the fire. 🙂

Hope you have a great week and enjoy your books!

  16. Heidi says:

I am missing all the fun Halloween stuff around the blogosphere. There isn’t much going on. I hope you enjoy all of your scary reads. I have been reading them and liking them so far. Happy October.

  17. Crap!?! Guess it isn’t too early for Halloween directions, huh? 😉 You always find the most interesting books (tee, hee)

    Have a great week!!!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I’ve got about half of my decorating done. I do fall and Halloween together:) I like to read just about anything. LOL

  18. As you may know from visiting my blog, I tend to avoid horror, so for Halloween I go more for cozy fall-themed mysteries and witchy fantasy…Putting on the Witch looks perfect; I’ll have to track down a copy. Have a lovely week and enjoy all your new reads!

    • fuonlyknew says:

I am a cozy addict. And I love that you can always find ones that are themed around all of the seasons and holidays:)

  19. Omg I’m so interested in The Kept Woman! It just looks great. I haven’t read any Harlequin Historical novels but I hope you enjoy them 🙂
