Here’s my tease!

It was her eyes that he noticed. They were all-nighter bloodshot… and totally focused on what she was reading. The intensity of her face was startling, and it looked like she’d been keeping it up for days.

She was reading one of those electronic book-on-a-screen thingamajigs, an ereader or whatnot.

This had my attention from the first paragraph. Can’t wait to finish and tell you about it.

My Teaser

As we drove, the dashboard lights reflected off his intoxicating smile. I watched him intently, burning the image into my mind for future recollection. This would be my last year with the person I shared most of my firsts with – my first friend, my first bike ride, my first loose tooth…even my first kiss.

One word about this book ~ INTENSE!

I’m taking a wild guess at it, but I wouldn’t be surprised if that was the author on the cover.

This book makes me think of that song, “These boots are made for walking, and that’s just what they’ll do. One of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you!

Can’t wait to finish this and tell you about it!

Here’s my teaser!

“I’ve spent my entire life hunting. It‘s  all I’ve known. Six months ago, I became the hunted. Something started picking off my animals one by one. I began tracking him, setting traps and such. Turns out he’d been watching me. Early one morning, he sprang a trap of his own – never even saw him coming out of the brush. If it weren’t for Thunder, he’d have killed me. The horse threw me clear….

“You kids have to help me. I’m too old and crippled up for this hunt. He’ll be back tonight.”

“How can you be sure?” I hoped to find one last loophole to get me out of playing zookeeper for the elderly and disturbed.

His face was a sharp and twisted mask of barbed wire as he fixed his gaze on me again. “I’ve dealt with his kind before. He’ll never leave a kill alone for long. Once the sun goes down, he’ll be back.”

I’m about two-thirds through this and hanging on to the edge of my seat. I’m not quite sure what they are dealing with, but I’m going to find out!

Dead of Eve is the first chapter in a trilogy. Intense and engaging. I’m tearing through this one and excited to know there will be more!

This is the sequel to The Forest of Hands and Teeth. I enjoyed the first book and I can tell you,  hands down, this is even better!
