Some chit chat.

Whew, it’s been one of those weeks. So busy at work. I don’t know if I’ve shared what I do before. I do extreme details to the inside of automobiles. It’s hard work but very rewarding. When I get a car, truck, or van that’s been trashed by kids, pets, and busy adults, it’s daunting and can take hours to get clean to my satisfaction. I do the interior from the roof to the carpet. Everything gets done. I use many different chemicals to clean and lots of different tools. My three best friends are my shop vac, my carpet shampooer and lots of toothbrushes. Yep, those toothbrushes get in all the cracks and crannies. Living in the south, I detail year round. No closing in the winter, even though sometimes I have to wait for the sun to warm enough so the chemicals don’t freeze. Summers are brutal. The heat waves shimmer off the asphalt and the humidity is so thick I’m sweating before I even get started. But, like I said, it’s rewarding when I finish a vehicle, step back and take a good look.

I’m sure you understand how exhausting this can be. I just couldn’t get my head around writing reviews and had a slow week with them.  I also had a hard time staying awake to read. I hate when that happens. LOL

I missed last weeks Sunday Post. I took a short trip. Hey, a girls gotta have fun! LOL

I’m glad to be back and have lots to share with you. So many great books.

And some awesome giveaways, so be sure to check them out!

On the home front. This has been a strange summer. The weather pattern is all screwy. We usually have afternoon thunder storms caused by the heat build up. Instead we have rainy mornings and gloomy days. My tan is fading! It’s been almost 12 years since Katrina hit and we’ve not been bothered by any hurricanes since then. I’m a bit worried that this year our luck will run out. We’ll see.

I’ve been binging Bloodlines from the beginning to be fresh for the new episodes added to Netflix. Talk about the dysfunctional family. Have you watched the show? It’s nerve wracking. I don’t think there’s a decent character in the whole show. A bunch of entitled narcissists. But I love watching them scramble desperately. LOL And I’m watching Fear The Walking Dead every Sunday. Only two weeks until Preacher starts back up. That’s such a zany fun show. Are you watching any of these? Got any suggestions for more shows I should watch?

The top row are ARCs I received. All of these release later this year. I know. I said I wouldn’t grab any more ARCs. These were sent to me by Camel Press. I couldn’t resist. The rest are ones I grabbed free, bought, or received for review.

I fell asleep last night while reading a horror story. Usually they don’t cause nightmares or make me scared to go to sleep. I came awake slowly. Something was wrong. I heard loud breathing. Felt warm breath on face. Bad breath! I was afraid to open my eyes. Did someone get in the house? Was I about to be raped or murdered? I cracked open my eyes. Something was in bed with me! It’s mouth was sprinkled with grey hairs. It’s nose was cold. It’s eyes were rolled back in its head. Oh man. It’s my dog, Quigley. LOL He got in the bed and lay down with his head on my pillow. Talk about a waker upper. That’ll teach me to read scary books before going to sleep. And I need to get him some doggie denture sticks. His breath. Whew!

And now….It’s all about the books! I got a bunch. Reviewed some. And browsed a whole bunch of freebies for ya!

It’s the weekend and I’m busy swimming, sipping Sangria, and relaxing. Of course, I’m also doing some reading since it’s a long weekend for me. Boy did I need it.

I just had a glass of wine. One tiny glass of wine. And I’m tipsy and having to correct about every fourth word I type. LOL I used to drink like a fish when I was a bartender. Drank all during my shift (a job requirement, seriously!) and then went out with friends and drank and played pool and danced until the roosters crowed! Oh to those days of youth. Now I’ll probably have a hangover from one lousy little glass of wine!
