Some chit chat.

Well, it’s happening again. I’m not receiving email notifications from all of your lovely blogs! My tour host says it’s not from their end. My email provider says it’s not from my end. So, what the ?!!!! Please bear with me as I work to fix things. I will be stopping by your posts as often as I can. Though it will take a bit longer as I have to open your older posts to get to the new ones.

Got any plans for Halloween? I’m loading up on scary movies and reading some good horror, suspense, and thriller books in all genres. I’m surprised I don’t have nightmares. Do you have nightmares after watching a scary movie or reading a book?

I watched the new episode of The Walking Dead. It was the hardest episode to watch ever. And I was right! I can’t believe who they killed off. I was teary eyed, watching through my fingers. What a horrible episode! Did you watch it?

New books on my shelf. Some I won, some are for review, and some I just had to have.

I just did my review for the sith Onyx Webb book. I am so addicted to this series.

And I picked up Tanya’s and H.L. Burkes books free. A Charming Death is still free and you can click on the covers for all of the books to see all of the books on Amazon.

Plus I got this cute book for review. I adore the fun illustrations.

And Marilyn Peake sent me these beauties.

She sent both copies of Shade. The first is the original cover and the second is the new cover. Which do you like better?

And she sent me her new Mutation Z Omnibus! I’ve read all of these but plan to read this collection again and post a review. I loved this series. You can get the collection for a steal, only 99 cents. Click on the cover to grab yours.

Something new happened this week! Got my first taste of fall! I know. It’s pretty sad when the weather gets me excited. LOL

I mentioned last week that I was going to watch Conjuring 2. I did and I loved it. It was a bit slow in the beginning, then it cranked up. It takes a lot to scare me. There’s a scene with something in a wall that so creeped me out. I swear, the hairs were standing up on my body. LOL

Guess what day it is!!! It’s time for all new episodes of The Walking Dead! I’m so excited and so scared to see the beginning. Last season left us with Negan beating one of the group to death with his bat, Lucille. Tonight we find out who it was. I’m so freaked out. It better not me Daryl. Or Rick. Or Carl. Or……Well, anybody. Sadly, it’s one of them. Are you going to watch it?

You may have noticed I’ve been sharing a lot of giveaway tour posts recently. As the holidays draw near, I tend to spend more time with other things and less time on my blog so I take in less review books. I’m sure you all do too. I just bought one new book this week. Tia Reed’s The Grotesques sure fits my horror criteria. And it’s got gargoyles. It’s hard to find stories featuring them, and these are the kind I like. Not sexy shifters, but deadly beasts. Click on the cover to check it out!

So, another week of nothing much new around here. I did get a new computer for my son. And I got a hair cut.

The weather has been beautiful and hovering around the mid to high 80s. The pool is lovely. I managed to get in a couple of swims on Saturday and plan to do more swimming today. Got to enjoy it while the weather lasts.

Oh yeah. I’m planning to watch The Conjuring 2 tonight. Have you seen it yet? Is it as good as it’s been hyped up to be?

Other than that, it’s just been me doing a lot of reading. Got lots of books to share, and some fun freebies.

It’s October and Halloween is on it’s way!!! Time for all things scary. You’ll be seeing some horror books and movies featured here this month. Probably a lot of them. But that’s really not something new as, on fuonlyknew……..

I do share a lot of scary stuff. Always have loved my horror. And boy do I have some good stuff in store for you this month!

I’m always dreading the end of summer. But there are some fun holidays coming up, and I do enjoy going through my winter clothes. Once I resign myself to cooler weather, it’s all about staying warm and snuggling up with a good book or watching a movie covered in a snuggy on my couch.

Well, I did it. I broke down and bought my first Christmas ornament! LOL I was shopping for some new Halloween ones and right next to them was a bunch of Christmas stuff. And I wasn’t the only one. Another lady grabbed some too. We looked at each other and laughed. Nothing needed to be said.

I had a three day weekend so I spent much of it cleaning. Degreasing everything in the kitchen is so much fun, right! It sure sparkles now, though. Now for the inside of those cupboards.

I also managed to get in some reading. Always time for that. Just finished The Kept Woman by Karin Slaughter. What a ‘twist’ that story was. Now I’m reading Hard Core Law by Angi Morgan. I know. I went from a thriller to some hunky Texas Rangers.

And I finished Lizzie Borden: Zombie Hunter. It was really good. So, I had to click on Netflix and watch the Lizzie series again. I think I need to read a cozy or a fun children’s book and clear my head now. How about you? Do you sometimes choose a different genre as your next read, just to give you’re imagination something new?
